holy crappola. the special one...bwahahahahah...bwahahahah.
i just checked out the odds...bwuheeheeheehee.
special K is favored at -1400 . he's suppose to kill his lackey opponent.
man how redickulous.
this guy needs to step it up. i don't even consider him world class yet.
Kell Brook (-1400)
Draw (5000)
Ionut Dan Ion (1100)
Ever heard of a mandatory
I agree with what everyone's saying he was in for me when he beat Matthysse but after the Herrera fight dropped down. If he beats Peterson and Maidana or Khan at 147 he's back in the top 10.
If Kell Brook (who is huge at the weight) can make a check weight so should everyone or move up in weight. The IBF have it right the only 1 of the 4 that I have even 1 iota of respect for.
IBF have that second day weigh in, but I think at most it's a fine.... I don't think they'll outright cancel a fight because of money....unless the A-Side's opponent does it
I think I remember that Kevin Mitchell was in an IBF eliminator and didn't make the check weight so he didn't get the shot even though he won the fight.
In the build up of almost every recent Mayweather fight since Oscar, I keep hearing the myth of Mayweather's power but when was his last truly clean KO? Ortiz? gtfo. Hatton? Man was done and too small. Who else? How many truly great fighters has Mayweather stopped? lol.
Pacquiao has nothing to worry about in terms of power.
Mayweather has the power to stop people walking through him shown that KO power? no but he must have some pop.
We all know khan chin is a question but does broner even hit hard enough at 147 to knock any legit opponent out?
People used to say broner was floyd with power when he was at 130, at 147 floyd probably hits just as hard shows what hype can do.
Khan wanted the fight last May on the Mayweather undercard. Understandably, they weren't about to put Broner in with him after the Maidana loss.
They're still not ready to put Broner in with someone of Khan's calibre. Plus he's staying at 140.
Yeah it seemed a bit strange that broner brought khan up when he probably won't move up. He called of called a 140lber. Guess he was just bored.
I wonder what if Barry Hearn never made it out of the council house estate?
We'd be stuck with Warren its not like that's much better a bit less annoying but not better.
The WBA derives from the NBA, you have them mixed up.
The WBC is probably the most corrupt of them all. The IBF is clearly the best of an awful bunch
Agree with the IBF clearly being the best but the WBC has cleaned up its act.
IBF
WBC
WBO
WBA
Floyd. Brook is too much of a boxer to beat Floyd
Thurman and PAC are the guys to beat Floyd.
Bradley would give Floyd hell in the ring, and if you deny this, you don't know SHIIIIT about boxing.
Thurman is also a boxer and Floyd would beat Bradley easily.
The truth is when you're talking UK boxing, you're talking Matchroom Sports.
Eddie has got he game on lock and every other scrub needs to fall in.
And ****ty mismatches on every card because of it bring back Warren's dominance atleast he is not so smug about screwing over the fans.
Soto Karrass is definitely a good gate keeper at WW.
Linares at lightweight.
Jhonny Gonzalez will be one at featherweight.
Vanes Martirosyan will be one at jr. MW.
Its a bit harsh to call linares a gatekeeper the guy is a 3 weight world champ. He has got a bad chin but apart from that is a really good fighter.
Yeah I had Cunningham slightly ahead I think at the end, I was very surprised at the scorecards anyway. I thought Glazkov would get the nod simply because I said at the time in the RBR thread that whoever would win the last 2-3 rounds would get the decision. I knew Cunningham would be in trouble with the judges because he started grabbing and holding Glazkov, trying to coast at the end, and because Glazkov became a little more aggressive and got some good shots in, it swung it in his favour.
I think we can agree Glazkov has no business getting a title shot just like Briggs.
But at least sells.
Glazkov's problems are more down to mentality than skill IMO. When he actually chooses to fight and be aggressive, he is a decent fighter. You don't become an Olympic medallist if you are terrible. He just becomes way too passive and gunshy often, and doesn't have any outstanding attributes like big power...He beats ancient Briggs though, I think it is silly to think Briggs can beat a top contender based on the evidence of beating up on clinically obese, old tomato cans as he has been doing recently.
I agree you don't win a medal at the Olympics with no skill against Cunningham he only showed anything when Cunningham gassed. His Corner were telling him he was losing and he still didn't look aggressive or good.
no way dude, 3 division champ he has to be good. rodriguez, malignaggi, dimarco. hello hall of fame
Lucas ran from Haymon so he didn't have to take a beating from AB
Brook is fighting twice more before the summer is finished. They were never going to secure anyone great for May which is next month.
I'm kinda glad they're getting this out of the way now instead of Eddie Hearn trying to build it into some sort of mega fight for next year.
Brook's big fight will be in July, most likely Rios which is admittedly slightly underwhelming too.
Also....all this would have been avoided had Amir just taken the fight.
Im calling gavin up 2-0 and then howard foster stops the fight in the 3rd for no reason Brook retains. Rematch at Villa Park on ppv in july. Book it.
I see quite a few people complaining about Brook's upcoming fight with Frankie Gavin. I honestly would have to agree that it's not a great fight, but it is only next month I guess.
Now what I don't understand is why Brook is getting bashed for fighting him. A few days ago an article was released stating that Frankie Gavin was offered to fight Bradley but turned it down so its not happening.... That means that Bradley accepted to fight Gavin...
So why is Brook getting insulted yet Bradley being talked about like some boogeyman?
Because Gavin-Bradley was mandated as a final eliminator I doubt that if that didn't happen Bradley would even know who Gavin is.
