George, do this and you'll beat the prick:
1) match his jab; when he jabs, you jab;
2) don't square up: he has to turn the hinge for power, don't be there; when he squares zag off and catch him standing;
3) hammer your right when you're 30 degrees off his center either way;
4) if he starts his usual roughing, "miss" with an upper cut and pop his head off with an elbow;
fair well.
We know already Froch has other plans win or lose. Who knows what Groves wants other than George Groves? DeGale will likely not be on either schedule as he's presently small fry.
If Amir can get in good enough shape to throw 125-150 punches per round, it would be difficult for the judges to not favour him even if only connected on 10% of those punches. Volume is overwhelming.
United States. A recorded phone call showed they were deciding who would be running. I can't remember the ladies name, but she decided that Vitali would told to step down. because his chances of winning aren't as high.
Asked who not what. Vitali "told"? Ordered? Payed to? Whose decision? Hmm?
Yes, Bernard lost to Calzaghe fair and square. In that fight he only landed 1 good punch. Joe was all over him. Most of his offense was junk in that fight.
Having acknowledged that, I really respect Bernard's defensive skills. Especially his ability to go in and out of range without wasting much energy. When he boxes cleanly he's a real craftsman. Credit where it's due.
Boxingscene :boxing:
Riots were never on Vitali's agenda. He is an advocate of peaceful protesting, that was all it was meant to be. Unfortunately, mob mentality got a hold of the situation and violence erupted. Vitali never wanted this, he tried to rally and bring this gathering to what it initially was.
Silence is tacit acceptance. Vitali, and his UDAR members, are not publicly trying to disperse the rioters, hence, are complicit. Yanukovich has said the rioters must leave Maidan before more talks can begin. That can't be unreasonable?
Lol, as if lucas getting punched in the face during a boxing match isn't what "forced" his eye to close:pat:
Another quick at putting his foot in his mouth!
If he hadn't suffered the eye injury, we obviously should presume a different outcome -losing as a result of an injury is not the same as losing without one. A Tko/ko is not an injury:pat:
Did Byrd beat Vitali or was it the shoulder injury? Did Lewis beat Vitali or was it the eye injury?
These types of injuries always taint a victory.:pat::pat:
Hehe, i just realized u probably didn't know Kovalev had fought Boone twice.
What's that am talking about pal, most people don't know.... (c).
Newcomers are used to exposing themselves... just provide them the opportunity.
Glory hunters like they are.
Who knows boxing... i.e. - a black male.
Who are you trying to blackmail?
I said in those earlier threads it doesn't matter if Kovalev fights Stevenson because he has every other fighter in the 175 lb ranks to fight. The other fighters are not nobodies. If or when he becomes the more unified champion he will have to fight them anyway. And I'm sure this is one guy who will gladly stay busy!
I like Danny and I like Angel, but Danny's boxing needs technical improvements. He got lucky Lucas had to fight with one arm; tonight, he benefited from favourable judging. Herrera beat beat him with boxing, defense, and pressure. Angel has his work cut out for him.
You need Jesus and green K :kiss:
He just needs to grow up. Some posters get insulted when their favourite boxers are not praised by others as they would like them to.
It's unlikely either will lose.
The Quebec media reported today Stevenson's promoter said the fight may be on September 27 in Montreal.
Kovalev is not going to lose; Stevenson is less certain.
Instead it's probably gonna be Kovalev who fights for the price of a sandwich if this get's made. Stevenson was always gonna be the A side and take the bulk of the purse - but now he's talking money and has Haymon whispering in his ear, I'm guessing Kovalev will have to take another financial hit to get him in the ring.
Thing is Kovalev really wants it, and I think he will take the pay cut if he has to (he's had to give up some of his purse to get Agnew in the ring ffs, and until a few fights ago was essentially fighting for nothing).
After he flattens Stevenson he can fight out of Moscow or Berlin if necessary. There he could get paid if he demands it.
P4P LIST
1. Floyd Mayweather jr. - undefeated
2. Andre Ward - undefeated
3. Guillermo Rigondeaux - undefeated
4. Timothy Bradley - undefeated
That's all u have to know son.
First of all, Stevenson will assassinate Kovalev inside of 4 rounds because a black A level boxer always finds a way to expose white brawler.
Second of all, Andre Ward is invincible following p4p king after Floyd retires.
U know that's shit pal?... I don't know and never seen a white p4p fighter (i don't call em "a boxers" cuz there's no elite white boxers all over but average skilled brawlers). I know good white school teachers i know good white camera-holders i know good white pussies which i've been fucking sometimes... but i don't know any good white boxers at all.
And remember once and for all... p4p hill is ONLY AND for black boxers. Sometimes mexican.
There is no room for white unskilled brawlers cuz u can't do boxing and fight properly.
U wanna see two white lowskilled dudes brawling against each other?... here we go==>WWE, MMA.
You do know these mythical "P4P" lists are a contrivance? You do know the difference between evidence and contrivance? You do know the difference between opinion and fact? You do know the difference between fact and fiction? YOu do know the difference is black and white? Hahahahahahaha!
Is Stevenson this incompetent that he needs another agent to simply say "I want more money"? When it is said "he's dumber than he looks", it seems to apply to Stevenson.
Odd really, all those predictions above and, what seems, exaggerated praise for the American. Jennings is rather dull, predictable, and basic; he has never fought anyone of note. As for being "athletic", I don't know what that word means.
Szpilka is southpaw, has heavyweight power, has size, has ability to find ways to get around his opponent's defense, and, is less predictable.
How will Jennings react when he gets hit? Szpilka has shown determination to fight through falls. This seems an fairly even fight, I favour Szpilka by knockout, but who knows?
Stevenson: you are answering to this are you not? You see? It worked. He's beating you and you have not laced a glove yet.
Now to all of you of North America that cannot figure out why the Eastern Europeans are so successful in this sport, understand they never fall for this stuff firstly because of the language barrier and, secondly, because they are taught at a very young agae everyone in the world is just another opponent and they can only be beaten in the ring because their own inability or lack of effort.
Boheli is a dumb slugger, as dumb and slow as a slug. To add to this he's part raving mad and part azzhole. Not a good combo. Hope Browne demolishes him in and out of the ring.
As I wrote on an earlier thread about this subject, and Klimas agrees, if Stevenson does not want to fight, Kovalev will continue to make fights with others in the division. Yes, fights with others can and will be made. Eventually these sanctioning clubs will have to accept Kovalev as the #1 contender. And, eventually, it may take a while, Stevenson will be forced to either fight Kovalev as his mandatory or vacate and, I guess, retire.
If Stevenson never fights Kovalev so what? Does it really matter? If the fight never happens Stevenson very likely would have lost anyway because he would have been beaten psychologically before the fight ever began. It is a common rule that champions are supposed to take on all comers, and when they won't, well, why should we regard them as champions at all?
A champion, if he truly is one, should say: "I will fight all of you. Just give me the time. I cannot fight all of you in one month". Wladimir Klitschko has done this. Who has he not fought or is not willing to fight? Who? Kovalev appears to be the same type of man as he has stated he truly wants to fight everyone and anyone without condition. Like it or not, Adonis Stevenson has not made the same unconditional claim.
One thing about all of this maneuvering is it shows Kovalev has already won the psy-war. Stevenson does not act, look, or sound confident about this fight!
I wouldn't say Salido has poor defense.
Obviously he gets hit and isn't difficult to find but he's skilled and has decent defensive ability coming forward.
But yeah the numerous wars he's been in are catching up to him aswell as a long career. I believe the second Lopez war took a whole lot out of him and he was already showing decline by then.
Good points. Agree.
