Wilder. Joshua will win more rounds, but it won't go past 8.
This. Joshua will outbox him for a few rounds but when Wilder catches him it's over. Wilder might be the biggest puncher ever.
Lost a lot of respect for him. I expected him to come out like a G in that fight..
Especially when he was acting all tough guy and sht In the lead up to the first fight with Ruiz, AJ said "If he doesn't talk much i'll take it easy on him, if he runs his mouth I'll give him a proper woopin" lol and in the lead up to the rematch, he and Eddie said they were going to win in devastating fashion.
He's alright, not a great Heavyweight though, no great Heavyweight would ever fight like he did after getting humiliated, and the worst thing about it is that Andy wasn't even in shape this was the perfect opportunity for AJ to redeem himself, but nah he's scared we see that now.
That seems to be the consensus here among the Wilder/Floyd fans. All that chatter about how Floyd was boxing as he circled, jabbed, ran and clinched his way to victory—it was genius, the sweet science, hit and don’t get hit. Now AJ does it and he was boring?
Glad you brought it up, but it's MUCH different.
Floyd was a defensive fighter who was a counter-puncher.
AJ is a brute fighter who is a heavyweight and only fought like that last night cause he was scared shtless he would get knocked out again.
So what does he do? Gets a ref who wont let the other guy fight inside, clinch like a mofo and RUN and not engage with an out of shape fat short fighter.
AJ should of knocked that version of Ruiz out, but he's not that good. We seen it tonight
AJ would get hit and fly across the ring, andy would get hit and stand there.
Not a great look at the end when the small out of shape fighter is in the middle of the ring and you're running
That's ur heavyweight champ with 4 belts enjoy
Aj fought his fight.. hahaha okay. yeah he fought his fight alright, he fought like a scared girl. name me one ex great heavyweight champion that fought like a b.itch like that, cause I can't think of one.
Sure he won the fight and got his belts back, hes no great heavyweight that was pathetic
Damn Jacobs is getting paid! Holy****, no wonder Charlo wants Canelo bad hahaha
So disappointing the GGG fight didn't happen he has a good chance of beating him right now.. in a year if they fight Canelo beats him :(
The fight is in March and to be honest it's not even that big of a fight, everyone is picking Spence and for good reason, it's gotten so bad that they asked Robert Garcia if he would throw in the towel... smh
Duran beats him at 130 and 135 then.
Better?
They said the same thing about Maidana (similar style to duran) and Canelo. They both lost, just like Duran would.
Top 30-40 that's a funny joke, people forget how good Floyd was.
Styles make fights, and Durans style is perfect for Floyd.
How the fight would play out:
Frustrating, for Duran. The first few rounds Floyd would be cautious, see what Duran is going to do, I can see him landing the counter check left hook like did to Hatton but Duran has a good a chin he wont go down but he gets caught with it early and often. In the first few rounds Duran is fresh he'll land some shots to the body and some to the head, Floyd unfazed would block most of these, I can see him by the ropes blocking most of the shots and countering with blistering fast hooks like he did to Hoya.
Middle rounds Floyd takes over, while Durans gas tank is great and a non issue, he's getting frustrated and can't land clean, so he starts making mistakes, Floyd being the masterful boxer he is, he capitalizes and now hes the aggressor, bringing the fight to Duran.
Last 2 rounds, Duran is desperate and will come out firing cause he's behind, Floyd knows this, so he doesn't attack instead fights defensively and frustrates Duran like he has so many of his opponents.
Floyd UD
So you believe madaina has the same style as Duran?
Yeah, I mean I think it's slightly similar, not exactly the same style, I meant similar in the sense that he likes to pressure bring the fight to his opponents.
It was the right decision to create an alt to say maidana has a similar style to Duran.
I don't believe in alt accounts, I stand by everything I say and I backup anything I say.
Yeah? Explain in tactical terms why Floyd wins.
Floyd beats him with his hand speed, master defense and reflexes all of which he does better than Duran.
Floyd has shown that he does well against presure fighters in his career and he would just counter Duran all night and Floyd has a great chin, he would fight smart he wouldn't do what Leonard did and try to brawl with him, he would fight to his strengths and win a UD.
I purchased the DAZN subscription just a few days ago too, for this fight tonight in particular but I want to see GGG fight too and the Joshua fight. I didn't know what to think about DAZN in the beginning but now I think they're awesome. Canelo, GGG, Joshua hell yeah! their roster is getting real sick.
It was beyond pathetic what Mikey did, he didn't try to win the fight at all! He was simply there to just survive, and after all that talk?
There were moments in the fight where Spence would throw a combination, Mikey would block most of the shots and Spence would be open for shots inside from extending and Mikey would not even engage in these situations!
And why are you pumping your fist after every round when you are getting shutout?!?! wtf
There was never a sense of urgency in the second half of the fight from Mikey or at any point of the fight!
I lost a lot of respect for him after that fight, he was there to get a paycheck and that's it.
They gifted Canelo that fight, just like they gifted him that draw last year and just like one judge had it a draw when Canelo fought Mayweather lmao. I've never seen vegas stuck to someones nuts more than Canelos what a joke, I don't blame Golovkin **** the interview.
STFU Eddie, your btch ass shouldn't even talk. You had to get a huge ass ring, paid the ref so your guy can run all night and get a win on points after your boy was laid out in his first fight out of England, so don't give me that sht "Oh wilders only fought in the US" STFU eddie
No one gives a damn about Wilder Eddie? You better give a damn, cause he's coming for your boy and ur boy is chinny
"I’m not coming in, after losing to this guy, to just dance and grab and jab and hold. I’m going to show the world and convince them I am the very best and that no one is close to me, especially with what’s going on in the division right now."
Yeah I was hoping AJ would have that mentality too.. But he showed his true colours tonight.. no heart
It did look comical at times - a 6'6 hulking adonis sort of skipping backwards the whole fight against an obese, lumbering squat opponent.
Props to AJ for the win, but I watch HW boxing for knockouts, not point scoring.
As most fans do when watching heavyweight boxing, that's why AJ was booed at the post fight interview in the ring, then he tried to say some **** in arabic to get the fans back lmao sht was so pathetic.
Pass the torch... do you know what that means???
He defo fought the best of "His" time at the RIGHT time. :wink
Canelo, Oscar, Maidana x2, Castillo x2, Pacman, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, Marquez, Corrales
What more do you want from him?!?!
Now he has to pass the torch as a 40+ year old to a younger fighter because you can't stand him and want to see him lose? No, don't work like that
lets find out what we are dealing with here.....
in the Canelo/Golovkin rematch, was Golovkin on his bike to survive?
Golovkin clearly abandoned his usual style, and Golovkin clearly was unwilling to stand and trade... JUST LIKE AJ !
yes or no ?
NO.. no, no, no don't compare GGG's performance with AJ's. It's different in the AJ fight you have to take into account everything.. The fact that's he's 6'5 looks like he's twice the size of andy, and he got beat up bad in the first fight, different then what happened with GGG and canelo
GGG will knock his head clean off in rnd 8.
This guy is crazy to say that, I would of went the route of "this is gonna be a hell of a fight but I think I will edge it out in the end and show I am the better fighter" or something like that but the next superstar? no. He's journeyman all the top guys beat him.
AB is done, all he has left is the fact he hasn't been knocked out. The guy literally talks out his ass about how hes changed and focused and determined, and then fight night comes and he just doesn't want to get knocked out.
that makes no difference whatsoever
stop making excuses, there is no acceptable justification for running
was Golovkin on his bike, or do you need a do-over... ?
What do you mean that makes no difference whatsoever, hell yea it makes a difference this is the problem with boxing now too many people think like this, it wasn't like this in the 90's ya'll are pussified, what happend to legacy? Pride? Heart? I guess all that matters to you is winning, like so many.
Your content with that performance when you know how he lost the first fight?
And no GGG wasn't on his bike, I concede he didn't nearly as good as he did in the first fight but the dynamics and situation is totally different, you think GGG ran from Canelo? no way
LMAOOOOO yeah AJ good one, going for the KO?? lmao i've never seen a fighter so scared in my life, but it's okay when you run all night and the ref is in your pocket, not letting the other guy fight inside
It’s called boxing, hit and don’t get hit. Utilise movement although it needs perfection. He wasn’t very good at holding because he left Ruiz’s right hand free and he wasn’t leaning on Ruiz. He needed to lean on Ruiz to get him tired then knock him out later. Joshua’s defence is still very suspect but he did what he had to do.
He did what he had to do?? What is this mentality?? I agree with you, this is boxing this isn't rock and sockem robots but the guy embarassed the sht out of you in the first match and that's how you come out in the rematch?
Imagine the old great heavyweight boxers doing that.. it wouldn't happen, when lennox got knocked out by rahman he didn't come back to win on points..
I guess they just don't make boxers like they used and you guys seem to be okay with that.
