The PPV hardsell doesn't happen until basically 2 weeks to the fight, lol.
Until then, you're going to continue to get the soft sell that we've seen so far (Spence and Garcia appearing during the Cowboys game on FOX, talks about the fight on the FOX/FS1 boxing shows, the stuff on social media, etc).
The fight is in March and to be honest it's not even that big of a fight, everyone is picking Spence and for good reason, it's gotten so bad that they asked Robert Garcia if he would throw in the towel... smh
Didn’t everybody else think Fury was going to get squashed by Wilder coming of a 2 year layoff with mental and drug problems! And they still promoted the shît out of that fight even tho everybody thought it was a cherry pick by Wilder!
I wouldn't appear so and I have a theory as to why and this was the same theory I had for Lomachenko-Rigondeaux. I don't think they want to bring attention to the size difference until the latest possible moment (i.e the presser and weigh-in). They probably want all tickets possible and people committed to the PPV asap.
That’s a good guess, never thought about it like that. Especially because it’s on PPV and the Latino audience would probably think twice about buying it if they see that their guy isn’t big enough to beat spence.
