Floyd's defense is his primary weapon, he plays the game of hitting and not getting hit and can get away with potshoting and a low workrate because he rarely gets hit.
However this won't be the case against Pacquiao. Floyd's shoulder roll defense doesn't work against southpaws and he has been able to get away with it until now because he has yet to fight an elite southpaw.
The question is what will Floyd do when Pac begins tagging him like Zab did, Pac wont lose his focus in 4 rounds..he will win the fight.

They just had the presser the day before so it could give it good exposure and moreso for everyone to be talking about a future Floyd-Pac fight. Floyd also knew that JMM gave Pac hell so thats a good mainstream fight for him and he knew what no one else knew which was that he could put up huge numbers with JMM to help him negotiate with Pac. How was that a bitch move? It setup everything perfectly and remember that Pac was going to wait so its not like Pac took another fight. The regularity fighters used to fight years ago, and be in real wars and be ok...I don't think so no.
Fighters generally fight a lot less frequently now, and safety is better.
So unless the doctor advises a break because of injury or over exertion, then no. Let the guy fight every few months if he wants, heck there's young pro's coming through fighting longer fights every few weeks. Pac's only really gotten that hurt once in the past year.
