I think their motives were not so sinister....but rather that they believed his hype, and maybe thought LACY could still turn it round?
I hope he is ok, anyhow
Yeah, i think it's gonna take 2-3 warm up's, for LACY to get some confidence back. Given his size, i see no objection to him moving up a weight (age, usually dictates this anyhow) but as much as it get's his confidence back, his skills are now under question. Every commentator is gonna mention his fight with CALZAGHE now, it's gonna haunt him, that's for sure! And they'd be no point (money asside) in fighting bums, only to get his ass handed to himself again. So in hindsight, a definate weight change, would benefit him. He needs to work more on his overall fighting abilities, rather than looking for the 'haymakers' all the time.
Has there been any interviews with LACY, or is he still in hospital. It'll be interesting to see how he composes himself, after this defeat. Will it have changed him?
NIGEL BENN did enjoy a "tear-up" (as he called it)
I'm sure other people will have other favourites, but NIGEL BENN was my favourite british boxer, when growing up. TYSON being my all time favourite.
THE ONE
Apart from briefly mentioning that CALZAGHE is maybe avoiding TARVER (in favour of JONES), his thread didn't have much relevence to the title of his topic. If he's he anti-CALZAGHE and being sarcastic, then he hasn't done a good job.
Maybe he had money riding on LACY....who knows?
What IS apparent is that, we SHOULD bow down to CALZAGHE, like him or not, he did the country proud.
I think TARVER would bring the fight more to CALZAGHE, simply because he would'nt get too tied up in the pre-fight bragging (as much as LACY did)
CALZAGHE was good (i took him to lose) but i think LACY froze up, once he realised he wasn't going to dictate the fight. It didn't seem like the LACY i seen previously?
When is TARVER fighting next, i thought he was tied up with ROCKY BALBOA at the moment (can't wait for that movie!)
