Anyone who takes this as an opportunity to begin another campaign of hate against Lacy needs a bullet in their kneecaps. So to Alt10Hate, FUCK YOU! I hope Lacy is ok, although as somebody already said, the swelling of the brain is common, hell Calzaghe might even have had it but much less serious of course... he did take a massive left hook and grimaced around about Round 6, and thats all it takes. he was shaking and everything , he could have long term affects from tht , i just hope he is ok :cool: I felt sorry for Lacy, man. The cuts and bruises on his face, the blood. He was out of his depth. Boxing is boxing and this will happen, but seeing him sitting on that stole, his lips shaking and of course hearing him ask his team what round it was, just felt for the guy. Here's to a speedy recovery. :)

It would have been better for Lacy if Calzaghe stopped him in the 6th or 7th. As it stands, he took a horrendous beating twice as bad as what he would have got had it ended earlier.

DAMNNN! I didn't see the fight, I didn't know he got that hurt. I hope Lacy is alright... It was downright scary. A beatdown in a 12-round championship fight like I have never or probably will ever see for some time. Halfway through the fight, Lacy was bleeding from both eyes, his nose, and his mouth. Calzaghe taunted him as early as the 2nd round. I'll put it this way since you're a Roy fan. It was 10 times worse than Roy's wins over any opponent from Griffin II in 1997 through Clinton Woods in 2002.

Fight should have been stopped after the 10th. Lacy had absorbed an awful lot of punishment and clearly had no clue how to win the fight. His corner was completely irresponsible in allowing him to continue.

Lots of fighters got worse beatings, like Gatti and Ali for instance, and came back to have great careers.....
