"This is gonna get fun now. Shine Fights says they will ignore the injunctive relief and move forward with the fight tonight."

Whether that actually happens or not is yet to be seen...
I hope it happens, but what if they are just saying the fight will go ahead so more people buy the ppv?
thats messed up, especially considering the same kind of punishment (and worse) used to go on in PRIDE and other MMA orgs, makes you wonder if he was predisposed to dying or serious effects from it since none of those guys ended up dying
MMA is trash, keep it out of the boxing forum. Fake ass sport, about two grown men wrestling with each other. Disgusting!
if you see mma and can only think of gay sex then it is you who is the phaggot, insecure with your sexuality? I think so!
phaggot
On that note, Nov 12 should be a wonderful day for fans of both mmgay and boxing. UFC on fox followed by Pacquiao vs Marquez 3. Fans are in for a treat.
A big difference between UFC and "Boxing" is that Dana White to an extent doesn't care who wins or loses, he gets big dollars either way whereas Old Bob is a greedy pig who carefully milks loyal Top Rank fans for all their worth and robs them of anticipated matches like JuanMa/Gambo
this is what i dont get, guy's like 103 years old and worth $200 million
why the **** does he care about money at this point rather than putting on the best fights he can, while he's still around
why do people care so much about ppv numbers? none of you are getting any of the profit made by each ppv and neither boxing or MMA is going to "die" or "go away"
I dont really buy most of the shiit written in that weak ass article. Even though I respect MMA, no one can ever really answer this question..
If MMA fighters are more elite than boxers, why not go to boxing and make more money?
The whole "because they want to be complete fighters" answer is fukken bullshit. NO ONE will pass up a chance to quadriple their income in a more easier fashion.
this would make sense, however many of the top MMA fighters come from wrestling and BJJ backgrounds originally so therefore never intended to become pro boxers anyway. But yes there are many who come from striking backgrounds who would love to go into pro boxing but can't make it. As an MMA fan I can see that and admit it. You also have to remember MMA is a very young sport and only really got big in the last 5 years whereas boxing has been around for and had big paydays over 100 years. As the money gets better more and more elite athletes will begin training in MMA from a young age. That's not to say there aren't elite level athletes in MMA at the moment, there are, but over time you will have to be an exceptional athlete to get to the top of MMA, i.e. your kenny florians, jon fitches etc won't be able to get to the top it will be filled with GSPs and anderson silvas. Every sport has to start somewhere, it's like comparing the level of the NFL in 1900 to the level it is at today.
If anything I thought MMA was dieing. It's coming across as what it really is: meathead street brawlers with no skill.
you're a ****ing idiot, so BJJ black belts, olympic calibur wrestlers and judokas, seasoned muay thai kickboxers are all "meathead street brawlers with no skill"
get your head out of your arse you ignorant prick. and as far as MMA dieing, just LOL!
