According to UFC president Dana White's twitter he will be ringside for Pacquiao vs Clottey. He predicts Pacquiao by KO in 8.
Not only that...he will also be giving away free tickets to the fight all week for fans who subscribe to his twitter and he feels are "real fight fans"

people don't realize dana loves boxing.
he was an am boxer i think.
plus he use to run a gym for like poor kids.
most of his criticisms about boxing is stuff we say. fighters fight not to lose rather than to win , the big fights don't get made , it's corrupt and so on.
a lot of the stuff he says is stuff most boxing fans would say. of course some of the shit talk he does is to promote his own sport which you can't blame him.
dana knows as much about boxing as the next guy. he's a fan of the sport.
people just go nuts about what he says because they don't like the ufc.
He's giving away free tickets to Pac-Clottey. I'd be his friend if i lived in the dallas area.
we can if we get a single governing body or national boxing czar
this is what boxing should have, a single governing body, actually it started that way but differences, real & imagined, cut it up to thousand parts ...tsk tsk
What do you consider gatekeepers, fringe contenders and no namers? With most of these guys still getting to be on the PPV undercards alot of times all it takes is 2 or 3 so called good wins, and there right there almost getting title shots.
It's nowhere near as automatic as you make it seem.
Fighters may have 20-30 fights in lesser and/or foreign organizations before graduating into the UFC....which in baseball would be the equivalent of getting the call up from the minors to the big leagues.
But as far as pay goes....an undercard fighter is an undercard fighter. in no other combat sport can a fighter making his debut or even a fighter with a losing record have a good night and deliver in such a big way that it steals the show make equal to, if not more than the headlining fighters.
In boxing you see journeymen upset bright up and coming prospects all the time. sometimes in spectacular fashion. and yet they will never make more money than the prospect.
the "underpays fighters" thing is very arguable. I actually like the UFC's pay system alot.
but the ufc's gatekeepers, fringe contenders and no namers get paid a hell of a lot more than boxing's gatekeeprs, fringe contenders and no namers.

well yea but thats why i said several things but not all. He underpays his fighters but he is a fans type of guy which i really like, thats where a lot of boxing promoters mess up...

Top names in the ufc get assraped in the wallet compared to names in boxing.

They also have bonuses for fight of the night, knockout of the night and submission of the night. That's up to $120,000 extra in your pocket for a good night's work. might seem like chump change to top names like pacquiao and mayweather but an extra $120,000 for a devastating knockout would be a life changing event for boxing unknowns like randall bailey and anthony pitalua.

He definitely listens to the fans a lot more, that can't really be argued.
However the underpaid thing can be easily confused by boxing fans because they make so much more money. Like 10x as much.
But the sport is still growing and hasn't been around very long.
GSP made 6K total in his first UFC fight which was in 2004 now he probably makes 500K after sponsors.
The money will come eventually, however the guys in the UFC that people claim are underpaid, like Undercard fighters, make roughly the same amount as boxing undercard fighters.
So the only difference really is the top earners.
Surprisingly enough, not all fighters care about money, the ones that get into it solely for that reason never last.
And that exactly why boxing has so many issues, because everyone wants to be a Chief and nobody wants to be an Indian
The same will happen in MMA when All the fighters realize what they are really worth, They are doing the fighting pulling in tons of money yet they are not making their just due amount.
Its alot easier when he's almost monopolized the sport, you cant do that in Boxing.

And there is good reason why he's got a stranglehold on abotu 90% of the MMA market, the guy knows how to run the business.
Every other competitor of the UFC has folded.
A lot of people hate Dana White because they think he's a douchebag/asshole/cocksucker (insert insult here) but the guy is a very "real" down to earth guy. I met him in Philly and he couldn't be more of a nice guy, definitely surprised the hell out of me.
But he's a smart yet ruthless businessman.

i know people hate on me for this but several dana white principles need to be carried over to boxing... that said i like dana the only one that gets on my nerves is joe rogan!!
