No one else finds it strange that GGG's team is the only MW that's calling out Canelo? If other MWs thought he was a serious threat in the MW division they would be calling him out too since he is going to bring the most money.
GGG and team need to let it go already, Canelo said he would let you know when he is ready to fight.
AMIR KHAN is going back to the drawing board in a bid to save his Floyd Mayweather dream.
The Bolton star was totally down in the dumps following his nervy points win over Chris Algieri on Friday night.
Khan reckons he walked out to the ring totally flat and that his 14 -week training camp had sapped him of his explosive energy.
The 28 year-old knows Mayweather would have watched him struggle and thought the Brit would be easy pickings.

Damn I thought he was going to go with the torn rotator cuff excuse.
The entire team of Russian heavyweight Alexander Povetkin, who is accused of doping violations, will take a polygraph test this week, his promoter Andrei Ryabinsky said Tuesday.Click Here To Read More]
Go away Alexander!!! :fingersx::fingersx::fingersx:
Stick to the word Manny!! Unfortunately in a world that worships satan he is supposed to be ridiculed for the sake of Christ. Newsflash for those who don't know, if you are against the word of God(the Bible) then you are Antichrist. I'm glad Manny is sticking to the word. The more he holds fast to the word the more people will hate him, this world has rejected truth.
That blacks were on earth first and the bible is not the beginning of religions garbage.
setting him up for failure
at the end of the fight sr makes a full 360 on his comment --
sr: man, i told you, that man aint really that good. the boy canelo aint really that good. i mean little floyd whooped on him so why would anyone think he was gonna beat a bigger guy that's been fighting at 160?
That would be a 180...
I mean for today's standards this undercard isn't terrible but it's close to terrible lol. Bob Arum's excruciating undercards are still worse. I'd rather be waterboarded than watch a Bob Arum ppv undercard js.
I still laugh at these Floyd-worshipers who act like Floyd's PPV sales would be the same even without Canelo and the other "expensive" undercards lol. I remember Mayweather-worshipers screaming...Floyd sells more PPVs than Pacquiao he should get the bigger share lol...although Pac-Cotto did better than Mayweather-Marquez when the undercards were pretty even. And Pac did better with Marquez than Floyd did...
Do you Floyd-worshipers live in reality or do you just want to give Floyd that Michael Sam draft day kiss treatment, jw?
I'm sure Floyd would not fight Martinez at MW either..he'd rather fight Maidana and force him to wear pillow gloves, fight Glass-chinned Khan, or retire ;)
Sounds like you are a Floyd worshiper. He's always on your mind buddy. I know and without Floyd, Canelo did 350,000. Expensive undercards=fans getting there money's worth.
Floyd lost the first one but he dominated the second fight. It's good Garcia is bringing it up. Castillo laid a good game plan for Maidana to follow. I don't think he can sustain that type of attack for 12 rds tho.
LMAO they bring up the Castillo fight every time FMJ fights. Let's be real it was a close fight but people get carried away. How does anyone who knows anything about boxing thinks what worked over a decade ago will work now against a fighter who is constantly adjusting in the ring.
FMJ fights totally different now than he did at the lower weight classes.
Sheep? Left wing sheep like you can't understand that all politicians whether Democrat or Republican are funded by PACs Big Oil, and Big Corporations. Trump is not funded by anyone. That was my point. He is not controlled by these puppeteers. Hopefully that makes some sort of sense to you but it probably doesn't since you didn't get it the first time.
Oxymoron!!!
He just wants to position GGG to get a Floyd fight
How about we ask some unbias people like Duran, Hagler and Tyson?
Better yet, why don't we just ask mutual opponents of both.:fing26:
Actually when the two were boxing in the beginning with no clinch, just fists, it was Kovalev who was clearly outboxing Ward. When Ward started initiating clinches is when things got ugly.
You right, things got ugly for Kov in close quarters. Those body shots...DOE...
**** Kovalev, i'm speaking in general. You act like GGG doesnt improved but only Canelo has. Has Thurman improved? Pacquiao? Everybody improves, not just Canelo.
GGG has NOT. What he was doing in 2012 he still does today. He struggled with Jacobs not because Jacobs was a A level fighter he struggled because he didn't make any adjustments, he doesn't have a plan b. He fought Jacobs like he fights every one else.
Thurman NO he fights the same in every fight, tries to throw haymakers early and if that doesn't work he just fights in spurts, no new skills.
PAC has NOT. He still throws 2 or 3 jabs then a straight left. Then steps back and hits his gloves together..
I will miss his skillset and abilities and his in the ring persona. But he did not endear himself to as many people as he could have and he did that to himself by choosing the role of the bad guy from the Oscar fight to now and it didn't help that he compounded this by insulting other greats like Leonard, Holmes, and saying he was better than any fighter who ever lived, and racist rants and involvement with thugs and abusive behavior towards women and prima donna attitude. No one is going to miss that unless they are sick in the head or fuked up with bias.
I don't recall Leonard or Holmes say another boxer was better than them when they was boxing. I remember Leonard saying he was retiring and not fighting Aaron Pryor after he invited Pryor to attend the ceremony announcing his retirement on the pretense he was going to fight him.
I remember Holmes saying Marciano couldn't hold his jock strap and Cooney was just another Great White Hope.
oh really?? imma boxing fan but i wont missed him, he's a disgrace for us black people, he never fight the bests on his previous weightclass
true..
true, thats wat im thinking
exactly
thread of shame imo
Didn't know you spoke for ALL African Americans. Didn't get that memo.
This is why you don't listen to a punch drunk, high school DROPOUT, former drug dealer, convicted felon, former prison inmate.
Anybody that doesn't vote Trump doesn't know **** about economics and is allowing the rich to **** them in the ass. Clinton is a criminal and if it were you or me who had done what she did with those emails we would be charged with treason and put in prison for a very long time.
Anybody that wants to argue with me feel free.
What did she do with the emails that is a criminal offense?
at age 18 ggg was at 140 just like cotto. the difference is ggg didn't turn pro until he was fully grown. asking ggg to move up now is not the same as a young man naturally moving up as his body grows.
Didn't he win a medal at 165 in the Olympics?
A source with knowledge of the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that a potential fight between Andre Ward and Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin is being held up by the weight.
From what BoxingScene was told, Golovkin's side is insisting on a catch-weight of 164-pounds.
There have been conversations between Roc Nation Sports (who have Ward) and K2 Promotions (who have Golovkin), but those discussions have gone absolutely nowhere because the two sides are unable to get past the issue of weight.

GGG is clutching his pearls. Hold your skirt down your slip is showing.
He made a good point when he said why does Dana White make more money than Conor Mcgregor when Dana White is just an employee of UFC? That's like a General Manager of a team making more than the players, it doesn't happen. You got some coaches who make more than players but they don't make more than the star player. Roger Goddell makes good money but he doesn't make more than the star players.
Goodell made over 60mil last year, star players don't make that much. But I do agree White is robbing the fighters blind.
I dont see it working for the simple fact that boxing is an unorganized mess. You have fighters that fight on this network and not on that network. You have fighters who wont fight fighters from other promotional companies. etc.
Try explaining to a casual who wants to see an HBO fighter fight on network television that it will never happen because Haymon has only HIS fighters fighting on NBC. It'll be like wanting to see the Yankees play the redsox but because of behind the scene politics it will never happen. Boxing will not prosper as a whole until its governed like every other mainstream sport.
So it's Haymon's fault that fighters signed exclusive contracts with HBO? Okay got it; move on nothing to see here.
When I read some of these haters comments i could puke.
Real boxing fans would be he cheering for a guy trying to unify a division. You loved BHop for it didn't you?
Let's hope that Saunders somehow fights a legit guy and loses it (either Lemieux or Canelo) and then we hopefully have a unification fight next year.
No more ducking in the sport! LETs have more unified champions, REAL champions in the sport, not these fake beltholders all over the world who are called champions and are ducking the other guys in their OWN division!
Make boxing better! Stop ducking, fight each other! Best vs Best in EVERY division!
Blah blah blah!!!! Hopkins was in a weak MW division also. If it wasn't for Tito moving up and being in the unification tournament, people wouldn't have known Hopkins. Tito put him near the mountain top and DLH put him on top.
GGG's fans need to get over him fighting Canelo because it's not going to happen. Canelo has realized just like SRL realized he didn't have to fight Aaron Pryor to become a superstar and make tons of money
Khans been duped into fighting on Mayweathers sloppy undercard however with the extra exposure he might gain if he wins it could only do good***8230;
If he loses however I can't see where he will go after this.
He will go back to Manchester and lick his wounds like he always does :boxing:
