Shades of lennox lewis vs vitali klitsko in a sense that usyk looked out of shape like lewis, rico had the herky jerky movement like vitali. Vitali starched lewis in the 2nd or 3rd with a huge shot had him wobbly after that the whole fight and rico landed a few good shots early but nothing vitali did to lewis. I thought the uppercut was there but usyk didnt pull the trigger on it till the end, You have to point to poor corner work from usyk's side not seeing that. Lewis crushed vitali with the uppercut so many times. Obviously not a bloody mess from the cut like lewis vitali but both fights with controversal endings.
We need Usyk vs Fury 3, after Dubois' very poor showing, little skills, no speed, no punch resistance, no ring IQ, and calls for Parker vs Usyk are laughable (drop the belt Usyk). Parker beat an ancient Zhang and the shell of Wilder. Does nobody remember Joyce battering Parker? Or Parker's gift win over Chisora 1?
Despite what people try to tell themselves, Fury completely dominated Rounds 1-7 vs Usyk in fight 1. Boxed his ears off, before being caught in the nose and losing R8, R9 (10-8) and R10, Fury then won the last two rounds as well. Fury won the first fight clearly, although after a strong Fury effort the first half of the rematch, the massively out-of-shape fighter lost it down the stretch to Usyk. It's 1-1, we all know it. Nobody else can touch these two.
Usyk vs Fury 3 in London, for all the Marbles... and a few belts, and let's see definitively, who the best fighter on the Planet is. I would not watch Parker vs Usyk, it's an absolute joke of a fight, and I don't even think Parker would beat Dubois. Fury is the only one now, with the Great Wilder now being a shadow of his former self. Nash out - His Majesty - and the Voice of Boxing
false fury lost twice, why do part 3 when u didnt even win 1? money wise yes and that usually prevails.
Shakira has had more than 1 fight that turned people off so get that straight.
So main point is nobody expected the fight to be that good. They were expecting another bore so why would they put that as a main event, the last thing the people there and whoever is watching to see.
Sheeraz-bumlanga was guaranteed more action and it literally proved it with a knockout AND an upset
Neither sheeraz or the chosen bum are main event fighters in any arena across the world. she-ra vs chosen bum was a fight that belonged at a local high school on public access tv.
Lets face the truth the reason why they have to try and bring back a jim lampley is because the current crop of boxing play by play guys on boxing us networks are extremely poor.
Because stevensen usually sucks ass and tbh the Sheeraz fight was still a lot more fun to watch.
Well this fight had a lot of action thanks to Z pressing most the contest
Boxing is in a horrible state right now therefore there can be no good voices or analysts or commentators. The sport is so corrupt everyone has to cover for it and play along with the charades. Canelo is nothing. Fatso Fury is a non stop lying duck. Tank is nothing. Mayweather never was anything but a protected pretender with a big mouth. The sport is in ruins save for Crawford and Usyk and Inoue and a few other saviors. Lampley is a voice of the past but offers nothing but a memorable voice. Nobody can dare speak the truth that boxing is in ruins or they will be blackballed.
Thats funny. We need more guys like larry merchant who I know some didnt like but at least he called out the corruption in boxing
Jim will get his sea legs back I'm sure. At least the fighters came through this time and gave him some good fights to call, unlike Times Square.
I like Tarver but seemed like he was talking a lot, stepping all over the place, in the heat of things calling Lampley "bro" a couple of times lol.
Also Coppinger is pretty good, but I'd say maybe try to limit talking about outside events in boxing during any given fight, it can derail things and doesn't bring the fight we're watching in focus.
It's a new team.
Did tarver really have to say You feel me to lamp?
Right decision in hindsight. The night ended on a high.
Turki knows what he's doing.
Shockingly false comment since the shakur fight turned out to be great
Very disappointed in Tszyu, don't think his dad would ever quit, he was in that fight and it looked like he could have landed something to hurt fundora but he just quit. also worrying how he lacks basic iq , no jab to the body, no left hook, that mendoza ironed out fundora with, no head movement, no footwork, no adjustments, just decided to spam the most readable punch in boxing (the overhand) i really thought he was going to be the real deal, he has a decent resume with names like horn, harrison, gausha, spencer, mendoza and to some degree hogan and inoue, really thought he would reach the top, what a shame.
I believe the injury he sustaned vs fundura 1 where he basicly bled out has taken a lot of him.
In my mind, when people keep repeating the same things, I wonder "If it's true, then why are they trying so hard to convince me?"
Try looking at the world like that, and you'll realize lots of people are trying to get you on board with their flawed thinking, to have followers in their error, or just trying to sell you stuff.
propaganda campaign. you keep repeating a lie they beleive it.
I have said it many times. F.uck casuals. because of casuals we get fights nobody needs, like canelo - Crawford or Fury-Ngannou.
casuals or diehards the lame promoters continue to shovel crap on the fans
The idea that Jaime Munguia intentionally lost his fight against Bruno Surace to profit from betting is a serious accusation. There is no evidence to support this claim, and it is important to avoid making such accusations without proof. Retro Bowl
true no guarentee he did or didnt but u can make a lot of bread off +1600 betting odds. we are talking corrupt sports anything can happen
The ref acted like he might have had money on it but that is extremely unlikely. It was a quick count and Munguia was standing already at 9. Nobody complained though, not even Jaime.
extremely unlikely lol? your joking right I hope u are
Took a straight right to the chin!!!...
by a pillow puncher, he took hundreds of bigger shots over his career and didnt budge. To say there is 0% possibility he bet against himself and purposely dropped is naïve to say the least. boxing has been universally recognized for decades as rigged and fixed to read these comments proves a new sucker is born every day.
Seems like sound financial advice. Take a dive to win a few hundred grand at the most, to then miss out on million of dollars in purses should you keep winning.
if he bet which i have no proof this is all alleged he would have won millions.
Seems like bait but I'll bite how can anyone see that KO and think it was a dive? Huge shot and takes away from Surace's cindarella man moment.
Also why would he? He's going to need to work his way back up now. He came off the back of a competitive Canelo loss where more people than ever know his name. Where million dollar paydays are potentially available between 154 and 168 and now any money he commands is going to be significantly less.
bet 100 on fanduel win +1600 on fanduelnow put in a 100k to 500k bet with those odds
And now your putting words in my mouth ???
I guess you don’t bet on yourself to often
cause your trying to bring up the word conspiracy when its been proven a million times boxing has rigged and fixed so many of its outcomes. u cant be throwing that word around like a birdbrain.
Birdbrain you say
You ever take a look in the fughin mirror , hey genius ???
Now run along with your half ass conspiracies
At least try to make it make sense
And I ask again , you don’t bet on yourself to often , do you ???
Can’t blame you there
LmFao
stu-pid comment because history shows boxing is beyond corrupt and can never be cleaned up.
