you gotta love pretty boy floyd.
all the brash talking, hyping, ridiculous expressions, flawless boxing talent, we all miss the pretty boy.
i can't see how he can't be tempted to come out to face the winner of dlh/pacman. afterall, the nickname speaks for itself - money mayweather
i watched this fight live at o2 arena haye is faaaaackin awesome he's got speed power agility movement he really has got it all. he's also arrogant and brash and he'll tlak to sell fights. just what the heavyweight division needs
DLH is cool, i met him in may while watchin hatton vs lazcano. he pays a lot of attention to all his fans and he is a nice lad. he has achieved incredible amounts as a boxer and one thing i really admire about him is that he has never been scared to fight the VERY BEST no matter what shape he's in.
one thing tho, he does sound pretty camp
His record is impressive but is also a fraud? How does that one work?
his record is impressive to look at because when you see 46 and 0 you go wow and then you see he defeated champions like lacy, kessler, hopkins and rjj and then you're blown through the roof. that is the only reason why people put calzaghe up there in my opinion. but if you actually dig up the files and look at them carefully, you'll realise that lacy was overrated; kessler had only defeated euro club fighters in his career; hopkins and rjj both old men need i say anymore? i will give credit that hopkins is actually still 43 years young as we are all aware after his pavlik fight but i still insist that i think he should have taken the bout back in april. so besides these 4 big names calzaghe has fought nobody but bums. boxing aint all about the records, you've gotta look at the fights and take everything else into consideration.
wiley, calzaghe isn't both "right and left handed", every boxer is either one or the other - calzaghe wouldn't have fought all 46 of his fights strictly in southpaw stance if he hadn't had favoured his left hand. fact. if you're gonna tell me that he adopted a southpaw stance to be awkward, then he should have switched back to an orthodox stance while fighting other southpaw fighters. but he didn't. so there we go. calzaghe is left handed.
calzaghe is a tremendous athlete, has a good chin and is very determined and has a good winning menality. the fighter has heart. that's as far as i will go. as far as a skillful boxer goes i give him naff. it's a joke for him to be even considered near the all time greats
over and out
prime roy wud have ripped joe calzaghe apart. i think hopkins won the fight back in april. calzaghe can't call himself a BOXER, he is simply a tremendous athlete with incredible stamina and has the uncanny ability to throw over 1000 punches a fight, so he's decided to use that athleticism to overwhelm his opponents not through boxing skill, but unfortunately just through this natural gift of his to overwhelm his opponents with over 100 punches a round. his actual boxing talent is not much in credit to his wins where as true ATG's such a pretty boy floyd or ali beat their opponents thru SHEER BOXING TALENT and RAW SKILL. you simply can't admire calzaghe as a boxer? go down to ur local boxing gym, do you see the young lads copying the footwork/boxing technique of true ATG's like ali, rjjr, floyd or lowlifes like calzaghe? there's your answer. nowhere near top 50 ATG is my opinion. his record is impressive but it is a fraud
edgarg, PBF is definitely one of the greatest fighters of his generation without question. 3 years on the top of p4p list and 5 world titles doesn't happen by accident. the guy's defensive abilities and boxing brain is immeasurable.
as for ricky hatton, he's English. allow him
