I think it will be huge. Mayweather was starting to become a household name before he retired. I know this kid at my job, who doesn't even watch boxing, and knew Mayweather was. Now the retirement was more publicity. If he comes back and fights the winner of Oscar/Pacman, it will do huge numbers.
the question is, what will be bigger...Floyd/Oscar II or Floyd/Pacman
you gotta love pretty boy floyd.
all the brash talking, hyping, ridiculous expressions, flawless boxing talent, we all miss the pretty boy.
i can't see how he can't be tempted to come out to face the winner of dlh/pacman. afterall, the nickname speaks for itself - money mayweather
It will be huge and his comeback will happen no doubt. If Pac beats DLH we all know that Floyd will be coming out of retirement.
Boxing needs Floyd just like he needs Boxing.

if he comes back WITHOUT a retirement fight and jumps straight into a megafight it will be even bigger...if he comes back and takes a tune-up then it wont be as dramatic and exciting to the casual fan.
Coming fresh out of retirement and fighting EITHER pacman or oscar would be huge...if he comes straight back out of retirement and fights oscar then i think they have a good chance at breaking the PPV record they set in their first fight (especially if oscar beats pacman)...
they'd sell that fight as a battle for who is really the p4p champion...
they'd sell it the same way is pacman beat oscar.
if oscar fights floyd i say it gets close or breaks the record...
if pacman fights floyd i say it does 900K-1Mill (but doesnt get too close the to the record).
regardless of who wins the pacman/oscar fight if floyd comes back to face the winner it may very well be the biggest (or at least the top 5 or even top 3) biggest fights in the history of boxing.
it would be a classic right up there with ali v. frazier or holyfield v. tyson; etc.
something record breaking...
it would probably be stamped as the fight of this era...or at least marketed like that...
and i wouldnt be suprised if they did something simliar to 24/7 that was longer than 3/4 episodes...
It will be huge no doubt. I just really wish he would come back and fight one of the top Welters, but commercial reasons will dictate that it will be either Oscar, Pacquiao or Hatton. Most probably Oscar.
Yeah, if Cotto goes best 2 out of 3 with Margo and wins I can see him coming back.
On the other hand.. I don't see him coming back if Margo where to avenge his loss vs. Williams and beat Cotto again.
that's the only one lucrative enough and intriguing enough to the point where people would look and say, this will be competitive.there's absolutely no chance he fights marga, or williams.pac maybe.

Floyd v. Pacman is the one people want. Aint no one wants to see another floyd v. oscar again.
**** all that de la v. may shit.that is a lame ass fight.
flyod said he ain't fighting in calendar 08, or 09, my hunch is if cotto beats marga in the rematch, and he wins the rubber match that'll be the fight.
