Fantastic article i remember following his career when he started it was fascinating. The great British hope it didn’t work out but he was a great amateur and won olympic gold good read.
Gabe is a throwback and a warrior! Great to see him fighting still I been watching him years and could think of 4 or 5 fights he got screwed the Love one being top of the list Murray in England too. But he’s made more money than most respect to the man!
Congratulations to Bud retired on top the only 3 division undisputed champ and jumped up TWO weight classes to beat Canelo easy. We will never forget his greatness his legacy is set in concrete.
Tim is a very average fighter who the boxing biz decided to go all in on and try to market, I have no idea why he was never very good. disgraceful comment Tim will prove you and the haters wrong.
People have short memories before the disgrace that was Fundora 1 Tim had torn through the division and had Charlo on the run. With the right team he’ll be champion within a year.
I like many thought Bivol would win hell I wanted him too but Beterbiev was the clear winner he put Bivol on his bike and fought better just how it went down hopefully they rematch but it will probably go the same way and then all the same fools will cry robbery and blah blah blah Beterbiev won.
Khan is done, from what I saw against Vargas he's shot, he gets stopped by any top 10 welterweight including Manny and of course Kell. Delusions of grandeur.
GGG certainly wasn't able to dictate the pace like he normally would, and couldn't hurt Canelo, don't think it broke him but I'm sure Ward had his had on it the whole time.
What accomplishment the guy has.never ventured out of comfort zone to be great. 10 years of beating average fighters in the same.weight division Fights two above average fighters Jacobs and Canelo. Gets robbed in first Canelo fight, loses but gets gift decision vs Jacobs. Insists Canelo fight him and not run and runs his a$$ off and gets backed up the majority of the 2nd fight. Over rated bully got bullied Sounds like you think you could beat him, clearly you don't like GGG so you are gonna jump on any opportunity to talk s*** on him. But you do you I'm sure Golovkin cares what a few haters have to say on a boxing forum.
At the end of the day, AJ ducked Wilder, Wilder and Fury have shown what they got between their legs and that's all that matters. I hope Fury gets the win over Wilder but damn it won't be easy.
Yep truth here by Wilder, Joshua is protected and Hearn should be ashamed of himself. Major props to Fury and Wilder this is the biggest fight in heavyweight boxing in years.
It's a shame there are so many morons on this forum that could even think about talking trash on either fighter after what they did in that ring. Nobody on here has ever done anything close to what these men did tonight and I'm gonna show some respect and congratulate both, especially Canelo who deserved a very close victory. I love and respect this sport.
What do DeGale, Groves and Eubanks have in common? overrated and overhyped domestic level fighters... with a HUGE chip on their shoulder! nothing wrong with banter between fighters but calling them overrated overhyped that's absurd. All were easily world championship level and proved it. Eubank perhaps the weaker of the 3 but Groves and DeGale when he wasn't shot were very good fighters.
Both of them are domestic level bums praying and waiting for someone with a name to beat them up. i assume because they from the UK that makes them bums? Saunders record is better than most at 160 and will continue that legacy at 168.
LOL he won't have a 'legacy' anywhere but in your country. If you want a legacy you fight for it. Who has Blow Job fought again? Lemieux? Lmfao Dude I'm not from the UK I am just saying he has a good legacy, Lemieux, Lee, Eubank, pretty much as good as GGG's record, who for one didn't want none of BJS. Saunders will get those fights and I can't wait to see them.
Weird thinking back about how much I loved that fight and appreciated both of those guys. Now, they're both wastes of talent, and one is a cheater. I really thought they were going places back then. Well if Canelo showed us something it's that you can get busted on PEDS and it means f*** all, even though Saunders had nasal spray in his system. I think fighting for a world.at title at 168 qualifies for going places. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Hoping DeGale pulls it off he won the belt on the road and defended it on the road so respect. It was a LEGIT world title not this IBO crap I hope he schools the little prick but Eubank is fresher so will probably win.
Time for BJS to shut the critics up again, I remember in 2017 when he schooled the s*** out of Lemieux, the forums were lighting up about how Lemieux was gonna knock BJS the F out etc etc. Saunders has the pedigree to make a great fight with Canelo, if he wants it at 168. But the time is now for Saunders, he has taken some solid scalps in, Eubank, Lee, Lemieux but there are big challenges at 168 in Smith or Plant would be cool
Cool looks like it's time to make it happen, the fight always had to happen in the UK, maybe one more fight apiece on the same card or something in the UK, promoters always like to pull that one, then let's have it!
