Would you like to know who Floyd Mayweather fought on his 20th fight? Carlos Rios was the guy.
How about Hopkins? James Stokes
How about Whitaker? Jose Luis Ramirez.
How about Roy Jones? Percy Harris.
How about Canelo? Fransico Villanueva
How about Lennox? Derek Williams is who.
Were those guys people had heard of? Some of this guys had just as many losses too.
Ramirez had the "win" over Pernell
A bit of Karma with Fabby going later than he should have while Parker was stopped by the ref early.
Such is life in the U.K's home-cooked back yard.
Still don't get the Parker narrative. Was he so confident of not getting pinged or thought even on the nose beers he'd flatten Fabby or was there some skulduggery involved...whatevs!
I'd like to see Doobie vs Oilskin now.
Interesting how that works.
I am so tempted to buy this. Don't get me wrong, I know there are a lot of reasons to give this fight a body swerve, but the mystery of what Keith has left and remembering Sebastian being folded like a bad poker hand not a million years ago, keeps nagging at me. Plus I can get it for £8.79 from ppv.com.
So where are you getting it for that price?
I would pay the $11 and change but no way in hell am I going to pay $75.
"sent shockwaves through the sport ..."
I think by the time it reached this side of the pond it was barely a ripple because I didn't notice or care for that matter.
Also highest profile signing?
Maybe it's a British thing but signing Opetia would seem to be a bigger deal. A champion and probably the best cruiser in the world.
"...and that happened in the fourth round when a sharp jab sent the Russian tumbling to the canvas."
Tumbling?
He was off balance, wasn't hurt and put his glove down. Then Kelly proceeded to run the rest of the round.
How both of the knockdown rounds be scored the same is silly.
writing a lengthy article about that ? stopped reading half way through. write about current boxers - how about a detailed breakdown of active fighters from Mexico and/or the boxing hotspots of Mexico - or if the cartels have any influence in Mexican boxig
Congrats on getting that far.

You are unbelievable in your Ortiz licking rhetoric. Boots has NEVER fought for a title in an 11 year career and prior to suing Oscar, all he stated was that his "dream fight" was a washed up Spence.
Grow up man. You sound ridiculous.
Do you mean Vergil never fought for a title in 11 years? Am I drunk or confused?
One guy who was underrated was Cuevas. 10 title defences but turned pro at 14 and primed out too early. He was a crippling puncher with his half hook/half uppercut. He broke turnbuckles, jaws, ribs, and eye sockets. One of the hardest punchers in 147 pound history. If he lands, that can change a fight pretty fast.
Pipino was a fav of mine. Brutal puncher.
I agree with that. If he cares so much about looking bad, then he has no options at all because none of them will suffice for everyone, even if he fought GGG at 160 someone would have something to say. Even if he fights Pac, he's fighting an old small man whose 3-3 in his last six fights and hasn't had a knockout in 7 years. But he's a big enough star right now and young enough to the point where he can afford to do a variety of different things.
Canelo's fans would be the only ones complaining if he fought GGG at 160 is my guess
Algieri, please KO this pretender. Im gonna go with Algieri to shock Khan. If that does indeed end up happening, its bcuz THERE ARE LEVELS TO BOXING as ive been preaching and Algieri has been facing the better comp out of the 2.
I agree
losing to Pacquiao 120-102 is better than beating Alexander 120-108
What set of criteria to use for judging a great jab? Accuracy, crispness, speed, power, quantity? Anything else?...
I would say the most important criteria would be effectiveness
