On the real though Manny should retire for his own health.
I'm a Manny fan, will absolutely miss him when he's done, but I'll admit this should have happened a couple fights ago, like after Bradley 3.
Finally he sign the contract so the fight is on, this is what im talking about that I sign already before, im just explaining to the fans and to prove that im not lying, i have the fear of the Lord. So this is it! The fight is on fans you deserve it thank you. to God be all the Glory. A photo posted by Manny Pacquiao (@emmanuelpacquiao) on Feb 20, 2015 at 3:50pm PST
Losing wouldn't hurt Pacquiao's legacy too much at all. It's pretty set, and he's the underdog, expected to lose by most "experts". Clearly, there's more at stake for Floyd. Everything he's tried to build himself up on, the "zero" could be gone.
This kind of pressure, and lack of it in Pac's case, can have a significant impact on each fighter's approach and ability to execute their game plans.
Not making a prediction, just saying. I think Pac's gonna take more risks than he has since the Marquez KO. How Floyd responds is just one aspect of this fight that is so compelling. There are many others, but going in, the pressure is on Floyd in this fight. We'll see if and how that manifests once the bell rings.
So both Buffer & Lennon Jr are sharing ring announcer roles. Anyone hear about the commentators & analysts? I assume Lampley & Bernstein will be there.
So Swift supposedly won the first 6 rounds? I really don't see it. Tired of dudes gettin' robbed by this guy.
And yeah, would be better for Lucas to have both eyes open in the last half of any Swift rematch.
How is this any different to any one of Floyd's previous fights? he is always the overwhelming favorite, and the pressure helps him rise to the occasion. I thought this was well understood by now :pat:
Uh, cuz he wasn't fighting Pacquiao in previous fights. I thought that's pretty well understood. :pat:
I see Pacquiao taking more risks in this fight than he has in past fights. He will definitely take the fight to Floyd at some point. It will be interesting how good his connect rate will be. And, of course, how Floyd responds. I don't think Floyd can win rounds with pot-shots like he could vs. lesser dudes. Does he counter w/combos, grab & clinch, a bit of both? Guys are gonna get hit, no doubt. How does each guy handle the others power?
Manny is a legit crossover superstar who has transcended the sport. His rags to riches life story has captured the imagination of millions, most of whom DKSAB. It's not surprising that mothers across the world would like and root for Manny.
