Pretty sure Kovalev's trainer John David Jackson tripped Pascal during the fight... Can a trainer touch an opponent during a fight? What are the rules? Didn't Carlos Molina get DQ'ed just because his trainer entered the ring.
But how does this explain him stumbling to the other side of the ring?
'cause he got punch hard and woozy? That dude was saved by the ropes two times lol.
He did something, I alluded to this. He wiped the floor or something with a towel was no reason to do it and tripped up pascal.
This cause Pascal to trip up and stumble and that what the ref saw and asked him are you okay before he even called the fight back into action, I think that heavily influenced the ref decision to jump in and stop it when It wasnt necessarily yet.
Ill upload a lil clip when I get my hands on some footage
What fight are you watching? When Kovalev slipped and fell, Jackson wipe that corner and doing so Pascal tripped a little bit. But saying that was an outcome of stopping the fight 'cause he stumbled in the neutral corner is stupid. Pascal already wobbly after getting hit hard and stumbled to Kovalev's corner.
Hey dude, could you post where he stumbles to the other corner? I didnt get to rewatch that part.
it's hard to get a good angle. In the HBO feed you can tell Pascal is stumbling into the corner, or at least on very shaky legs. Then the camera cuts to Kovalev who points at Pascal and smiles at the ref, as if to say "dude he's done" meaning that Pascal was probably laying on the ropes, stumbling, or what not.
yeah I just rewatched it you guys are right.
this is so refreshing.
Seriously, how many times does a person say in the internet "oh look, you guys were right, it's all good"
this forum is always i say/you say. Nice to see a genuine moment!
yeah it doesnt, When I watched it like I must of looked away for a bit cause I thought it was all jus tone big stumble them stemmed from that but from making that lil gif of it I seen he stumbled on his own after that lil slip up from johnson

You can't really say that when his foot stops on his towel and he falls into the ropes.
Nah, boy. He's the leaning tower of Pisa in there before the towel makes alleged contact.

LOL. Pascal was already falling over before JDJ's towelhand got near him.

the ref wasn't even looking. This had no bearing on his decision to stop the fight.
I didn't notice that watching it live, but it certainly made him look worse off than he was.

If anything this affected Kovalev more than it did Pascal. That corner was wetter than an olympic swimming pool. Let's hope they learn from their mistakes.

pascal drunkenly stumbled into their hands as they were drying the ring. then he drunkenly stumbled untouched across the entire ring and fell face first into the ropes.
Kovalev had him punch drunk then.
