I reckon that all these Russian, Bulgarian and American boxing 'fans' dislike Haye because they know that he would brutally embarrass all their HWs on the same night. Pulev, Povotkin, etc. and all their blind fans are probably praying that Haye stays retired and doesn't expose their heroes.
Speak of the devil :pat::
At his absolute peak (which he should still be in right now), Haye was never as good as Povetkin.
Totally agreed, Povetkin is world class.
I don't see Haye outboxing or KOing Alexander.
Wlad vs. Haye was a cometitive fight with Haye never being in trouble and rocking Wlad in the 12th. The scores were 117–109, 117–111 and 116–110.
Older, past prime Wlad vs. Povotkin was a complete whitewash with Povotkin going down more often than my girlfriend. The scores were 119-104, 119-104 and 119-104.
You were saying?
This is not going to be a popular opinion. But somewhat in sync with this thread...
1. I think that Haye could have won more rounds than given credit for. Some have up to 5, but I think 4 is more reasonable.
2. Haye gave Wladimir his toughest fight since Samuel Peter and the toughest until Povetkin.
3. Haye was Wladimir's fastest, slickest and most skilled opponent who also had explosive power.
4. Haye vs Wladimir, although usually slammed as a fight, actually featured some of the best displays of skills and reflexes of any HW fight of all time!
Haye rematch could be the best WK opponent available given his shoulder will not prevent a return to form.
Good post. David did very well in the first fight and would've won had it not been for his injury. Wlad is way past his prime now, so Haye would most likely KO him in the rematch.

Okay I just touched on this in another topic.
I honestly was never a big Calzaghe fan but ya gotta call it honest in boxing. Kovalev is one of my favorite fighters but ill be honest, if Calzaghe was around in the light heavy division my boy Krusher would get whupped.
A lot of us American fans only got to know Joe against Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins and Jones.
HONESTLY I've since then studied Calzaghe, let the haters roll in but I think he was just as good as Roy Jones, James Toney, Bernard Hopkins any of those guys. There I said it.
I think guys like Eubank and Benn are incredibly underrated, especially Benn who has the greatest victory of them all against the GMan, which is unfortunately tarnished because of the aftermath.
Benn-Eubank is actually one of my favorite fights, I advise you watch it if you haven't....those guys were great but Calzaghe was on another level in my opinion.....never seen a guy that could fight like him.
Anyway how highly do you regard Joe Calzaghe?
Calzaghe is extremely underrated on this forum. Sir Joe would box Kovalov's ears off to an easy 12-0 UD.
How does you saying something make it a fact?
That said... it could be you're right - according to Boxrec there's 1093 active professional HWs. 1% of them is 10 which means you're crediting the Hayemaker with being #11.
Bit harsh really.
I'd probably shoehorn him into the top 10 myself if he still remembers how to fight by the time he gets back in the ring.
David Haye doesn't have to fight all those 1093 active heawyweights for any knowledgeable boxing fan to be able to tell that he'll beat them. There is a huge gap in skill and athleticism between Haye and the rest of the division and only a blind hater or a person who DKSAB won't admit to it.
Also, the Hayemaker wiping the floor with 99% of today's heawyweights (in other words, knocking them spark out) doesn't mean that he wouldn't clown and outpoint the rest 1%. Please keep your assumptions to yourself next time, Hayeter.
Lots of Hayeters out there. The fact of the matter is that Mr. Haye would wipe the floor with 99% of today's Heawyweights without breaking a sweat and you know it.
Tarver is wayyyy past his prime. Has he even fought since the PEDs issue? Haye should knock him out if this goes down.
Haye knocks out ANY version of Tarver (yes, even the roided one).
