Onthegrind Boxing has moved to a brand new site. Live every Thursday and Sunday night from 8pm (EST). last nights show featured Jesse Reid, Kevin Iole and Ishe Smith.
The call in number is (347) 843-4293, I think it's a great show, check it out!
It's down to Golden Boy, They turned down a unification fight with Tim Bradley and they turned down a 140 Tournament proposed by Gary Shaw. They are trying to protect their asset as all of there big names are nearing retirement.
Freddie Roach said he want's to fight Bradley, Alexander and Maidana but he doesn't get to pick the opponent. That's down to the Management and promoter.
Read this article on Arguello today, It's a good read and there's a nice tribute from his son Alexis Jr.
R.I.P. Alexis!

I think it's good move after all the shit behind the scene's and with the court case's. Rigo need's to get back to his boxing and he was adamant he wasn't going back to Roach, Shields will be good for him imo!
They will have a ten count before the fight for John Duddy's uncle Jack (John Francis), who was shot dead by British troops on Bloody Sunday in Derry 1972.
That's some motivation right there for John, I expect a Duddy win here.
People holding onto that 10-0 record. Great excuse for Donaire to duck Rigo, but lets look a little deeper into things. First, Rigo is rated higher than Donaire at 122, so if Donaire wants to be better than Rigo in this division, maybe he should fight him?

Second, he has the WBA title, doesn't Donaire want to be an undisputed champion? That's what he told Max on saturday night, only he thinks there are only 3 belts in the division :wtf:
and last, NOBODY wants to fight Rigondeaux, offers have been made, nobody wants to know. He is too much risk for little reward, so the people calling for him to fight top guys, maybe want to ask those top guys why they wont fight Rigondeaux?
This guy is a rare commodity in the sport, this is a guy who wants to fight the very best, not hide, run, slip, slide, duck his way out of the risky fights, and Donaire is a very risky fight for Rigo. This guy is the genunie article, now quit B****ing and making excuses. Donaire is absolutely ducking Rigondeaux.
And this comes from a Nonito Donaire fan. :ugh:
