Former world heavyweight champion of the WBO, Sultan Ibragimov, thinks Alexander "Sasha" Povetkin has a chance to beat WBO/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko. Povetkin is the mandatory to Klitschko and their fight is being discussed for the month of September. Ibragimov spoke with Russian journalist Alexander Pavlov and said Povetkin has to prevent Klitschko from creating a lot of distance to use his very sharp jab.

"Cutting off the distance is the difference. For Sasha, it is not necessary to come forward. He simply has to reduce the distance. I tried to stay ahead of Klitschko by outboxing him, but he kept his distance, and so I did not succeed. I think, that with Sasha, everything will be possible. I think that Sasha will succeed," Ibragimov saod.

One issue in a Klitschko-Povetkin fight is Sasha's request for drug testing to be conducted by WADA [World Anti-Doping Agency]. Ibragimov doesn't see a problem with Povetkin making such a request."

"I do not understand what the problem is? It's not only Klitschko, Povetkin will have to pass the tests as well. I don't see any problem with it. They simply want to be sure that everyone is clean," Ibragimov said.
