I think Salido at 126 would terrorize him.
Agreed on this one, Nonito seemed uncomfortable with someone that could take his punches and put some pressure on him, a la the Concepcion fight. I guess we'll have to find out when he moves up, maybe he'll become a beast when he's not trying to cut so much weight
Happy that Nonito can finally move up cause if guys like these are some of the best in the bantamweight class then it's time to move the fuuuck up.
Cause Narvaez just wanted to survive.
Narvaez isnt a BW...I can almost guarantee you Mares, Agbeko, Perez, Darch would come for a fight, doubt Moreno would
I used to hate on Broner because of the way he acts but I got over it, lol; hes actually pretty entertaining compared to Floyd whos just cringeworthy at times. Hes obviously got a lot of talent and hopefully he progresses well, he certainly still has a lot of time to do so being so young
One of the biggest differences ive seen was I think Clottey when he fought Corrales(rip). The fight was at 149 and apparently (according to the commentators) Clottey rehydrated 21lbs to 170 , and Chico rehydrated 11lbs.
I know Rios usually kills himself to make 135; anyone know what he usually weighs in the ring?

Apparently Showtime rejected an April date, but there are still plans to make the fight. Showtime wants Ward-Bute first.
Thanks JB, I remember watching a Hasegawa fight a ways back through keyhole lol, almost completely forgot about it. You want the green stuff or the red stuff? :D
That would be a good fight at 122 .Mares has cleaned out the 118 division I like both fighters make it happen.
Not quite, if Abner wants to clean out the division then he has to deal with Moreno; I hope GBP makes that fight happen
Mikey reminds me of Quagmire for some reason; I'm thinking that it's the wide bone structure.
Didnt notice it until you mentioned it but now I can't unsee it
Rios or Bradley might make for nice fights, but theyre Top Rank guys, and so is JMM.
Garcia vs Matthy is the most interesting fight that can be made at 140 IMO, hope it happens before the end of next year
Rigo vs Mares or Arce are both fights that could potentially make Rigo look great...im not too fond of a clash with Moreno even though hes arguably as skilled as Rigo it could be a bore fest for the casuals
Donaire was a clear favorite against everyone he fought this year. Also none of his opponents fought back. To me JMM is hands down the fighter of the year. Knocking out Pacquiao is an achievement that far eclipses cleaning out 122 against fighters who won't fight back, regardless of how good they are supposed to be. Donaire had a good solid run this year but chances are he'll never do anything in his career that comes close to the accomplishment of Marquez this year.
Don't know about that man, sure it's not quite on the magnitude of the Pac-Marquez IV win but he did demolish Darchinyan as a big underdog...
Cant find any video of this Mathebula guy on the web...anybody know if hes any good? Im reading around and apparently he gave Caballero a good fight. Kinda curious now and hope the fight happens just to see this guy in action lol
sorry but no big fights for Chemito, Nonito Donaire already ducked him and fought, blown up flyweight, Omar Narvaez. sorry Donaire fans but "priced out" is code for b,itched out.
Golden Boy won't let Chemito anywhere near Abner Mares, who their trying to build up. GBP only signs guys like Chemito to keep them away form their stars and raises prospects. I'm sure when GBP wants to cash a guy out they may toss him Chemito's way but that's about it.
I hope you realize Donaire was trying real hard to get in on that fight, lol. GBP were looking to sign both Chemito and Donaire around the same time, then Donaire got hit by legal problems courtesy of Top Rank (actually it was his own fault for not reading into his contract)...
That fight was terrible, how long is Nonito's contract with TR?
He just signed an extension last year with them, not sure it was specified in the news how long. I guess he still has a few years left with them =/.
^-Agreed! He doesnt get enough attention because to some hes just another KO 'victim' to Donaire, but he was giving Donaire a good fight until it was stopped by cuts. Hopefully he fights a top guy soon, maybe the Marquez-Concepcion II winner :boxing:
The Darchinyan fight is generally considered a robbery. He deserved a rematch as much as Agbeko. Perez has seen better days.
I'm not going to deny Mares is good. He won some of my respect when he beat Agbeko fair and square, but to say he has cleaned out 118 is a huge overstatement. Winning one title and defending it once is hardly cleaning.
By who? That was a close fight.
The hell are you talking about KID? Those fights were close, hard fights. Tonight wasn't. Manny easily beat that FRAUD TIM BRADLEY. Period. I never want to see Bradley again. Talked all that crap and aint even do nothing.
Bradley did a solid job. The blame doesnt go on him, but the judges. It's a shame, had he rightfully lost people would have praised him for putting up a warrior's performance but now that he's won theres a cloud lingering over him because of the garbage and/or paid-off judges.
