Marquez fought Katsidis because he was his mandatory and he had put the fight off for as long as he could. He was on the verge of being stripped of his alphabet title if he hadn't fought him. Everyone knows that JMM is there to be hit, that's nothing new. He always has been a toe to toe right in your face type of fighter. Therefore win or lose he always show wear at fights end. Pac looked worse than Clottey,he looked battered and relieved after the Margs fight and don't forget about the cauliflower ear he got via the Cotto fight. My point is that just because a guy gets hit alot in afight and is bruised and bloodied at fights end doesn't mean that he had a tough time with a guy. And before you dismiss Katsidis as a bumb, I was wondering did you know that both Juan Diaz and Casamayor had a tougher time with him tha JMM. Hell, he even knocked Casamayor's ass outta da ring.I think that Marquez proved alot in that fight with Katsidis.
