According to a report from the Associated Press, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been freed from a Las Vegas jail after being arrested on Thursday night on a misdemeanor warrant based on allegations that he poked a security guard in the face last month outside of his home. Police Officer Jacinto Rivera said Friday that Mayweather was released without bail from Clark County jail. Mayweather was in custody for nearly 12 hours after being arrested at a nearby Las Vegas casino.
Mayweather's lawyer Richard Wright says a Tuesday court date has been set. On November 15, Mayweather is alleged to have poked a 21-year-old security guard in the face during an argument over parking tickets. Mayweather was already free on bail on unrelated felony charges which stem from a September dispute with the mother of his children, Josie Harris.
