PacMan is playing the same game Floyd played by pretending to retire.
Letting his competitors fight each other - Floyd needs the money and fa ight against Mosley could be next.
I wonder why no one has pointed this out?
Diaz (GB fighter) over Malignaggi
Guzman (GB fighter) draw with Funeka
Juarez (GB fighter) draw with Chris John
Casamayor (GB fighter) controversal win on Santa Cruz (I guess it was his welcome to GB present)
I mean as much as people bash King and Arum for being corrupt, you have never seen (atleast I haven't) as many blatant robberies as you have with bouts involving Golden Boy fighters.
BTW these are just off the top of my head. If there are more, feel free to add.
Add D Hop v S Forbes to the list
Hopkins beat Calzaghe
Dirrell beat Froch
Martinez beat (schooled) Williams
Williams was jabbing air half the time this is not effective aggression.
US judging is getting to the German standard
i dont think he ws scared, just cautious. he felt him out in the first 3 rounds, then when he was convinced he wasnt a big threat. he pressed the attack
He knew he had the points victory in the bag, why risk getting KO by a former welterweight.
If anyone over there paid for Hatton-Lazcano why not pay for Khan to?He is alot more exciting then the Hugman and his chin could create massive drama. He is one of the best offensive fighters in the lightweight division.
Hatton has beaten named fighters, Khan ain't done shite yet. Oh sorry he got a silver medal
my point is this:
both fighters are at the same point in their careers: both tito and oscar are diminished physically to a degree, but more so reputation wise (as far as losing big fights recently). neither fighter deserves a shot at a title at this point. why not fight at a catchweight? why not take the opportunity to avenge the most embarrassing, if not controversial loss of de la hoya's career? it's way more credible than fighting a guy who started his career at 106, or taking an undeserved shot at the welterweight crown.
the money is right; these are 2 of the most well known fighters of the last quarter-century. i refuse to believe tito cannot get down to a reasonable weight for a potentially 8-figure paycheck.
hbo can sell a de la hoya vs. trinidad II fight, and no one loses any credibility.
This really needs to happen
He is being too honest and asking for help. Hope GBP don't screw him with madeup contracts alleged signed by his former manager - He might not be figting for a longtime, like Sturm
For a tuneup it is fine as long he fights Pacman in Nov - McCloskey would be another option as a southpaw
Judah would be great fight if he didn't have the Pacman fight. Zab is not a tuneup for no-one
JMM last 6 fights Kats, JDiazII, Mayweather, JDiaz, Casa, Pacman
Give the guy a break it just a tuneup I rather watch him fight than wait til Nov
Setanta was amazing for boxing fans, I mean picking up fights like Holt-Torres II just showed how great they were for UK Boxing fans. We'll unfortunately never get fights like that again in the UK, all we get are the occasional good Friday Night Fights card and Haye/Khan PPV's. I can't believe that sky aren't even interested in the Super Six.
Totally agree, Setanta where great for Boxing - even casual fans would talk about the fight at work, they had watched Sunday morning on Setanta not knowing who had fought.
The FOTY JMM v Diaz was on Setanta, Sky would never have shown this fight.
ESPN Uk go f**k ya self same goes for Sky
