Speaking of which, any updates on Ike Ibeabuchi? I know he was arrested the day before the Pacquaio fight and was to have a hearing on 4/14. His parole violation seemed minor, though with his record ...
@OP Merker
Thx Don King interviews are always epic!!!!!!!!!
I didnt have these, thx downloaded :-)
You're welcome.
Here he is going against all odds ... all with a smile and that thunderous laughter:
Don King is so funny man, i'd love to see him in court as a lawyer.
Question for everyone:
Would any of you let Don King represent you in court as your Lawyer?
He'd make the late Johnny Cochrane look like an amateur.
Where's Darnell "The 0 Destroyer" Bonne? He just did it again, getting a draw against some undefeated prospect- What. A. Guy.

Great Pick!
None of them is better than Rigondeaux. ;)
Rigo is as good as they come...but a no way his style beats a prime RJJ...too much offense from RJJ...now a prime Sweet Pea and Rigondeaux would be a chess match of the highest order
The 90's IMO was boxing last great era. No disrespect to today's fighter's, but back then the best fought the best, they were willing to fight anyone anytime to prove they were the best & there wasn't as much of the silly beefs/wars ect BS to deal with & fighters couldn't hide behind a network, promoter or anything. Back then the top fightes all had loses & people still wanted to see them more because they put it all on the line. Now if you lose or get a draw everyone is quick to call them bums or exposed... When in reality we should give credit for them testing them selves. Also ducking is ALLOT more accepted & defended today.
Riddick Bowe was frozen out of the HW title after his loss to holyfield...RJJ ever fought Nigel Benn or rematched JT...Bob Arum and DonKing prevented a lot of good fights, though they finally had to make some happen due to poor PPV sales
funny. in that video they say Barrera is a reluctant challenger who deserves a break after his wars with Morales, yet he is the next in line?? And I would like to know the stipulations for JMM fight. Bottom line: JMM is a HOF for sure...Barrera, not so much.
If Tyson gets in so does Naz.
You're comparing the two??
For a guy who rarely got hit in fights, dude sounds punchy and slurs a lot.
maybe he had a lot of gym wars similar to James Toney who also rarely got hit in fights, but slurs bad.
Sparring on a daily basis causes slurred speech. Only spar when you have a fight coming up and than rest the entire time.
Brandon Rios is another guy who spars when he has no fights lined up and is slurring already.
very true.
especially when cutting weight.
I read about how Terry Norris would spar 4 to 5 days a week year round. Fighters should be banned from sparring that much its bad for the brain, the head gear only protects from cuts and bruises it doesn't protect from brain trauma its been proven.
yes. I believe Ali did that as well. I used to slur after sparring in the Tampa heat. didn't notice it until people told me. I'd be fine a day later though. And I wasn't even a pro/amatuer, just a gym rat who sparred with everyone, including pro fighters.
Fast feet and hands, great defense, and a southpaw to boot. Those did combine to make him hard to beat.
I always wondered ... Whitaker vs PBF @ lightweight. Who'd take the lead?
Roy Jones...the only fighter in history to not be an underdog against any fighter
in history, at any weight...Him and Paz was a great fight..pure skill against pure
will..
hmm...not even in the 3rd tarver fight??
Roy Jones-Vinny Paz on PPV.
with Paz as the main draw. back in the '90s, A LOT of fights were on PPV...even Mercer-Ferguson II.
