Huh?!
Muhammad Ali
Bernard Hopkins
Badou Jack
Julian "J-Rock" Williams
Prince Naseem Hamed
Mike Tyson (latter part of his career)
Anthony Mundine
Felix Sturm
... among others....
Absolutely no reasoning with the tards! I love Manny, but his fans use illogic and fantasy to make senseless arguments. Floyd started a great movement, and Amir is talking a lot of sense here.
Think everyone with half a brain cell knows this was a fake injury. But if you're gonna make up an injury, at least play up to it. I appreciate his humanitarian side, but to lie to millions was unnecessary, and to me, unforgivable.
Suspicious
Manny never had devastating power in the lower weight divisions (98lb-130lbs). He wasn't like a Naseem Hamed, who descimated people with one punch KO power. Suddenly he moves up to 147 (After only one fight at 135 and skipping 140 altogether) and he's a monster. A few fights later he's out punching and out-powering Miguel Cotto at 144 (CW). It's just not logical.
Wow.
The ignorance demonstrated by the comments on this thread blow me away. Anyone without anybias had Mayweather winning the fight easily. Hell, HBO were representing Pacquiao, and Kellerman still looked gobsmacked when Manny said he thought he won the fight.
Pacquiao wasn't injured, and Floyd took him to school. Personally, I think Manny edges Thurman, but that's up for debate. What isn't up for debate is the result of Floyd vs Manny. I understand fans supporting their guy, that's normal. But please have the decency to accept defeat. That's what makes you a real champ. No one in and around that weight class touches Floyd. I Can't stand Floyd Mayweather as a person, and his antics make me sick. But he is a surgeon in the ring and you've got to give him his dues. The greatest boxer of our generation and one of the top five to ever walk the planet in my opinion.
Does this guy proofread his articles. David Haye is the English Heavyweight champion.
Fury is the English Heavyweight Champion, Haye is the World Heavyweight Champ..
What does it feel like to hate one man you've never met before so badly that you waste days of your one life on a forum slagging him off and talking such rubbish, changing your avi to a unofficial score-card because of hate and butthert? What does it feel like?!
Haha spot on mate. Really don't know what planet some of these people are living in..
Total punches landed FM 148 MP 81
Power punches landed FM 81 MP 63
Jabs landed FM 67 MP 18.
Conclusive.
I think it's fair to say that Floyd has earned the right to pick his opponents at this stage of his career. He's achieved all he needs to, so he can fight Matthew Hatton and it shouldn't be considered a cherry pick. As for Thurman and Brook, have they really earned it? Each has only fought one top opponent (Guerrero and Porter respectively). Brook has won the title, and defended it against Jojo Dan (who??) and now Brandon Rios (wow). I'm no Khan fan, but he's fought seven top 10 opponents at JWW and WW. He's earned it more than the others. GGG should be picking on someone his own size (Ward, DeGale, etc)...
Respect.
Floyd. For all his flaws outside the ring, he was the most incredible boxer inside it. There'll never be another like him. Feel blessed to have lived through the Floyd Mayweather era. The greatest ever at his craft.
Handy performance
Whether it was a lowblow or not (NOT in my opinion, but it was close enough to be up for debate), Judah did not want to be there.. Zab has been a great fighter and one of my favourite all-timers, but he quit tonight.
As for Khan, top performance! Looked off-balance at times but was too busy to let Judah react to that.
Khan beats Bradley.
What the hell? Give Khan credit here! They were two warriors out there, hats off to both of them.. But Khan edged it and deserved the decision! Great fight, let's stop hating for no reason and finally give the guy some credit.. He won me over with that performance.. In fact both did. Respect.
It's absolutely hilarious to read Pacquiao fans posts on this site since the fight was over. The thought of them sitting in their rooms or basements watching the fight over and over again in slow motion to make themselves believe Pacquiao won is pricless.
There is no demand to see a rematch of this fight. It was not competitive. You can watch the fight in slow motion as many times as you want...it won't change the scorecards.
I have no idea why you idiots want to see a
rematch. The exact same thing will happen and you'll be in the same exact position you're in now - bent over with your pants at your ankles.
Hahaha! They're morons. Any other sports fan in the world would sit back and admit defeat when their guy or team is overwhelmed like that.
Lol butt hurt much? Truth is on video. Pac connected more throughout the fight. Video speaks for itself. Floyd is all smoke and mirrors.
How much does it hurt, Spoony Woony? I mean you went through all that effort to put together some shoddy biased amateur videos. How long did that take you? A few hours? Just so you can sleep at night with the artificial notion that your boy didn't get bent over by Floyd that night? Floyd took him to school.
My advice: Meet some girls, get a life. Some sad people on these threads.
Huh?!?
Is this guy retarded? He didn't take PEDs, he took a lot of cocaine you muppet. Get well, Champ. Without PED his comeback isn't going to be successful. Now Fury can't cheat anymore.
No realer man in boxing. If you listen to his podcast, you'll soon realise that all of his views are always backed by professional analysis. The only thing I've slightly disagreed with him on is his underrating of Tyson Fury, who I think is a much better fighter than he looks or gets credit for.
Hmm...
This does sound quite fishy, not sure who to believe really.. But if Amir did in fact commit said crime, he'd surely be charged for theft. That hasn't happened. I personally doubt that there was a contract, but things will probably come out over the next few weeks.. I respect Amir as a boxer and Ariza as a strength and conditioning coach.. I'm not one to judge these guys on their personalities, I'm a boxing fan at the end of the day.. :buttkick:
Mannnn I hate all these White British fans of hatton who just keep hanging onto hattons small sack their entire life, they are blinded by the truth!!!!!! This shows shows the low life scum hatton is which he has always been before he became a superstar. When hatton gets caught sniffing crack, they show sympathy and wish him all the best, hatton comes up with a lie that he feels guttered and wants to go into rehab when in fact the scum has been sniffing for years now it's obvious (sniffing 5 lines of crack in within a year?? You kidding me). Then when he gets caught having an affair they blame the women, but when someone like khan, pacquiao or mayweather get caught in an affair they throw insults, racism towards the fighters. DOUBLE STANDARDS, hatton fans are a disgrace.
Nail on the head!
This interview was given the day before Matthysse was announced as a replacement opponent for Morales. I'm sure Khan would fight either, seems like he wants to clear up the division.. Shame about Bradley's promotion issues, Khan-Bradley is the one we all want to see! I'm sure if it doesn't happen at 140 it could happen at 147 with a lot of build up!
Bit of perspective...
First of all, I don't think anyone will be happy, no matter who Mayweather fights at this stage. He's beaten all of the guys that have earned it, and is now scraping the barrel. Timothy Bradley is the guy that probably deserves it the most, followed by Khan, based purely on their level of past opposition and potential revenues.
As for the notion that Amir talks too much, you won't understand it until you go to England. Any celebrity (yes, he's a celeb here) that leaves their house is stalked by awful tabloid journalists. Most of these quotes come out of papers like the Mirror and the Daily Mail. They ask him a question and he answers, so it's bound to be out of context if entered as a quote. It's beyond me that BoxingScene feel it necessary to print every single one of them! Saying that, Khan will fight Brook in 2016, when I'm sure it will break records. I think Brook Has the edge, but it will make for a cracking fight!
If you think he was incredible in the ring than I feel for you having to live through such a horrible era  I am a boxing fan. I love the art of hitting and not getting hit. The subtle adjustments he makes once he works out his opponents while in the ring are beautiful to watch. If you prefer the fighting styles of Golovkin or Pacquiao, I'm no hater. They're great, just not the boxing styles I tend to appreciate.
Shuts him out?
You mean pac shuts him out. Pac landed more and not only that he even landed the more heavier blows as well lol
Cant deny the truth.
Can we all agree that this guy is the dumbest individual to have ever posted on BoxingScene? Being butt hurt is not a good look. Pacquiao and his fans would be loved and appreciated by everyone if they weren't the worst losers on the planet. He got outclassed, and we still see photos and videos of Pacquiao landing shots... It's boxing, of course he landed shots! I can't stand Floyd, but he dominated Pacquiao for 12 rounds. Accept the loss and move on like an adult.
Wow.
I'm convinced that Khan can only win by KO.
Mayweather obviously saw the threat from Manny Pacquaio, lost (really) and then got given the win anyway!
No doubt helped out by some "WELL INVESTED MONEY" ;)
I've never seen a bigger gift decision since those of Muhammad Ali! Posts like this make me question life itself. Anyone that genuinely thought Pacquiao beat Floyd... You don't know s*** about boxing.
Floyd beats Khan in my opinion. But Khan does bring something different to the table with his reach advantage and quick hands, and I think that would make it a spectacle. If you wanna see someone beat Floyd, you better hope he makes a fight with Klitschko.
"Nobody moves like Floyd"??? Lmfao you mean moves away from an actual fight like Floyd. Greatest "avoider of an actual fight" of all time. No heart, no balls and a meaningless "0". If he wants to be considered a great he has to be in an actual fight not run away from one for 12 rounds again and again and again and again. Fans are tired of it. Watch UFC from last night! Those are MEN, fighters! They put it on the line and if you ARE better than somebody....? You TAKE THEM OUT !!!!!! Not sissy punch them for twelve rounds and make them dizzy from dancing around. Rhonda Rousey has a bigger nutsack than Floyd. The era of celebrating being a sissy is over. Make action fights or people will just keep going over to UFC. Real fights happen there, not dance offs!!! Retire Floyd
!!!! you are ruining boxing!!! Let guys who actually want to FIGHT have the stage
Spoken like a true degenerate. Boxing is the art of hitting and not getting hit. If you want to see a brawl, hit up a pub in North England or West Ireland. Boxing is a beautiful sport, and guys like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard were called cowards that run by idiot fans like you in their day. Those are the guys that have stood the test of time. The same will be said for the likes of Floyd and Rigo. That is boxing, my friend. If you don't like that, go get wet over the UFC.
we are not stupid u dumb mother f*cker we know you are playing psychologic games. We know you are not concerned about Pac, we know there was never a concern you leaving his side, because we know how much you JUICE him.. its like he be drunk fighting. So dont play us with that dumb psychology talking about being concern. feed that to the ducks.
Haha superb post! You're spot on, they say this around six weeks in to every camp!
I have no idea what they try to achieve by saying things like that.. Tad suspicious, almost as if they're trying to cover their tracks.. But who knows and who cares, should be a good fight!!! WAR SUGAR SHAANNNNEEEEE BABY!
