Hall of Famer Prince Naseem Hamed believes his good friend Amir Khan will do better against Floyd Mayweather Jr. than the last ten opponents who went up against the pound-for-pound king - including Manny Pacquiao.
Khan has been in line to face Mayweather on at least two occasions in the last two years. Presently, Khan once again finds himself in position to fight Mayweather for the WBO/WBC/WBA world titles on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas
In the opinion of Hamed, Mayweather realizes that Khan presents a very risky fight and that's why he's been avoiding the matchup.
"I think Amir might give Mayweather a harder fight than his last 10 opponents because he's got fast hands and I would love Amir to win that fight. I think he's got a good chance and I think Floyd knows he's got a chance and that's why he's been avoiding it," Hamed told scribe Nick Parkinson.
"Floyd is older and you could see with what he's getting hit with in the fight with Marcos Maidana that he's getting older and believe me Amir is faster and better than Maidana. Amir did a better job on Maidana than Floyd did."
