I can't believe people are picking Barrera to stop Chavez.
I see this fight going either way. Chavez will make it a war and I wouldn't be surprised if he decisions Barrera. Chavez is bigger, stronger and is always coming forward.
I going to have to agree with you, if anybody remembers the Morales-Chavez fight (If you dont hbo will replay next week), but Morales could not stop Chavez, Chavez was all over him in the beggining of the fight near the end of the fight he fought about 3 or 4 rounds just with his left hand and was still able to hit Morales very well. Im a huge Morales fan but I really think that if Chavez was able to fight Morales completely healthy I think the figth would of been much much closer.
So with that said I think it will be a close fight but I going to pick Chavez by decision split to be exact.
the setback is fine. we weren't ready for the third fight yet
Is it just me or is diegofuego doing the bias thing again? How many people think that if Castillo would of done this diegofuego would of been bitching like there was no tomorrow?
Huge disappointment that we wont get to see this happen but unfortunally this is boxing and accidents do happen what can we do. Ill be looking forward to Castillo fighting anyways no matter who he fights Ill still watch.
In the first fight which was very easily a draw or SD(in favor of Castillo) the fight was more of a fight, in the second, PBF did what he does best, In and out. When Castillo boxed against Corrales, he was getting hurt, but when he fought with him on the inside, it was all Castillo!
I have to agree with you here, I reallly think that Castillo favors being on the inside he is way more active that way he just keeps the body shots coming all night on the inside, not only that but when he is on the inside he always seem to find a way to step out for a slight moment and connect the left or right hook.
SO my prediction is that if Castillo fights Cotto, Castillo will win by late round TKO, Castillo eventually slows down Cotto and beats him.
Im going to go with Lacy on this, Lacy has huge KO power in his left hook (hense the nick name) but also has the same strengh in his right hand, can some one please post a gif of how explosive Lacy is, in the fights I have seen him in he kinda reminds me of Mike Tayson (not comparing him just reminds me) when Mike knew he had some one hurt he would fallow them and open up so much that he would just flat out destroy them, I think Lacy has the same mentallity, Mike Tayson obviously has one punch KO power that is why he was able to do this. So with that said I believe that he will win for sure KO 8 round.
Francisco Bojado.
Say no more.
I agree with you Panchito Bojado was over hyped, he was good though he had good punching power a great chin, but just seemed like he was a bit slow (kinda like Margarito) he could of had a promising career if he had continued, but all of the sudden just disappeared. I would of liked him to continue fighting.
One for sure though is Paul Malignagi (cant spell), he just doesnt seem like a guy that I want to see fight, not a big puncher, plus his fights are boring to me for some reason. What is it with him that a lot of people where awaiting his return?
Dan Rafael does suck. I always say anyone who has a Marquez brother in their top 10 p4p is not worth listening to.
You obviously dont know what you are talking about! First of all prove in what way at least one of the Marquez brothers does not deserve to be on the top ten p4p list, specially Rafael, he is beating every one he faces extremely well this guy has huge strengh not only that can take a punch as well as go a full twelve rounds non stop action so please tell me in what way at least one of the Marquez brothers does not deserve to be in the top ten p4p list please tell me I like to know.
That's a very good list and a perfect way to show what Morales is all about. I also agree that that fucked up avatar sucks.
Yeah those are my favorite Morales fights, all out action from beggining to end.
Please Jack take of that Avatar that shit is driving me crazy.
Morales Vs. Barrera 1
Morales Vs. Barrera 3
Morales Vs. Pac 1
Morales Vs. Chavez
Morales Vs. Hernandez
I know Morales has way more action packed fights then this but, this where my favorites.
Also Jack you have the most discusting picture on your avatar man that shit just turned my stomach.
yeah and i read some where here in australia the ibf flyweight champ
vic darchinyon is going over to challenge arce for a fight.now that would be a great fight .
Finally Arce deserves a shot at the real title it is about time.
But this match up alone is the real reason why Im ordering it, the Judah-Mayweather is just a small bonus part of the card. Can any one remember the "Finito" Lopez - "Bufalo" Alvarez fight? I heard some people had Bufalo ahead in the fight, well regardless of the decision it was an action packed from biggining to end fight a classic if you ask me, this match up of arce-alvarez reminds me of Lopez-Alvarez fight so it will be great, specially now that they exchanged some blows after the Arce-Rivas fight.
I just checked the TV guide and i believe they are fighting at 9PM PST on Azteca TV so just letting u guys know, it should be an awesome fight their first one was a war.
This fight ended about one hour ago here in Denver it was a good fight Arce won by TKO. And at the end of the fight he got in some bull shit with Rosendo "El Bufalo" Alvarez they even exchanged a few shots. Can any one tell me why Arce is not in the P4P list yet? If anything he deserves to be at least at number 7!
i think it might have to do with what fighters are the bigger draw. now winky and pbf arnt sell out mattirial but they have beat current or former p4p top 10s and srce hes won battles but he is not a headliner and best victorys are over hussein witch is not that big of a deal. also it might have to do with the fact that he is in the lower weights
Im going to have to agree with you, every one else that is on the p4p list is a top notch contender (with ecxeption to a few), and the bad part about this is that no one under 126 is getting the recognition that they deserve, in order to be headliners.
Finito Lopez, Chiquita Gonsalez, Michael Carbajal were recognized little guys also.
That is true this guys did get the recognition they deserved but now days I really dont see that happening in the lower weight classes sure they are mentioned but no the way they really should be.
mexicans vs the PR's
or
the mexicans vs piony
Im sorry but the kind of rivalery that Mexicans and Puerto Ricans is why higher then that of the Mexican against Philipine boxers, Puerto Rico and Mexico have had many, many, many, encounters so in order for the a new rivalery to take over another one it would have to erase history, and in order to do that you would need years and years and the amount of Philipine boxers that make it down to the US to fight would have to increase drastically. Im not doubting the fact that in some year we will probably see way more Philipine boxers, but Mexico and Purto Rico will always have the rivalery set way higher then any one else out there in the world its (in a weird way) set in stone (imo).
This thread always seems to come up but there is never a real conclusion my vote is for Morales like it has been the privious times this thread came up, their rivalry will never end they are even considering fighting a fourth time, so I think that at the end of their careers that is when we should ask this question they are both hall of fame candidates, and they are both great Mexican fighters, but regardless of all of this my vote still goes for Morales.
I think it's funny how you can take yourself so seriously when people on this site thought you were an alias. The fact that you have no grammar knowledge, or basic boxing knowledge whatsoever amuses so many of us. Manny Pac, MANNY P, PACQUIAO, dood, what an extensive vocabulary you have my friend, grow up.
Damn I agree with you 100% I wish I could give you more Karma but I already did. Please manny p dont confuse real boxing knowledge over obssesion over one puncher (yes one puncher).
I would rather see Tarver - Lacy I think it would be a more interesting fight, they way Lacy pressures it might spark something in Tarver and he might decide to throw something other than a jab (not saying that the jab is bad). On the other hand if we see Tarver - Hopkins we might see a the best FLINT FIGHT EVER.
Outboxing is what Raheem did to Erik Morales. 118-111 is the score.
Let's face it. Pacquiao fights well when he expects the right things. He and Roach dint expect Morales to box. That's the MAIN REASON Roach always says that Juan Manuiel Marquez will always be the toughest opponent for Manny (they always expect Marquez to box). They thought Morales was gonna brawl and they thought Pac would win it. Morales boxed to their surprise and Pac lost.
Now that they expect that, Morales has no way out!
You are right I do agree with you in the sence that Raheem did outbox Morales to the fullest extent.
Ok so tell me Mister guruu Manny P what is Pac expecting from Morales this time around, Morales has a new trainer if you did not know his name is Jose Luis "Meastro" Lopez, so you tell me what Mister guruu Manny P what is Pac expecting from Morales? Cause believe me I have followed Morales career since it started and I dont even know what to expect with this new trainer. So tell me Mister guruu.
if Morales can drop Raheem, I think Manny can do more damage. Morales is slower than Pac and he couldn't catch Raheem. A faster Pacquiao is bound to land more punches. Morales throws 1, 1-2 punches. Pac throws combos. Pac's way of fighting has a betta chance of beating Raheem. If they meet at catch-up weight 130lbs, betta, Pac will do betta than Morales.
Now begone witchu. Go back and get Owned by somebody else like Bozo or sum shyt......
Im still waiting on your responce Mister guruu Manny P!
Give it a break man....I can hear it now.
"YOUR WINNER, ERIK "EL TERRIBLE" MORALES"
Yes please Manny P, give it a rest do you really believe that Pac is going to beat Morales? Morales has Pac's number all the way, he has him figure out, make the fight an outside fight and dont let pac throw the left hook to the head cause to tell you the truth I think that is the only punch pac can throw and be accurate, forget that manila bullshit Roach be talking about Morales has Pac's number. Pac will never be a boxer he is just a puncher, and what do we all know that there is nothing like OUT BOXING your oponent and that is what Morales will do on January 21st.
As written by St.Petersburg times boxing writer josh cotey.....truthfully the guy is biasd toward local fighters and overall seems to not know too much about boxing to be a writer since I think our local paper does a shitty job reporting boxing but here goes he says Lacy is 06 fighter of the year with a big win over Calzaghe and another big win over possibly Tarver or another superstar later in the year........Winky beats Taylor,Toney beats Rahman,Mayweather/judah is fight of the year with Mayweather winning and he also says Vargas KOs Mosley setting up a super PPV rematch with Winky in the fall...some may come true any thoughts from you guys?
Good post,
This predictions seem really good, I love the Lacy prediction, I really do believe he is the real deal in the uper weights, he has huge strengh I really do think Lacy has one punch KO power. Winky-Taylor to me this fight is not smart for Taylor I have not seen anybody who is able to break this "new" Winky defence its like they cant get a punch in this guy at all and his jab is in your face all night. Mayweather-Judah those promise to be the fight of the year (IMO) although I pick Judah to win by decision, Vargas KO's Mosley this will only happen if Vargas is his own old self again, might happen might not they made him a boxer which this should of never happend cause Vargas was an aggressor/fajador (us mexican use that) all out puncher not scared to get hit by anyone (please come back old Vargas!) I would like to see Vargas make a come back and let his name be known again. As far as the Hopkins-Jones bout I said at one point that this promises to be the best flint fight In History, although I pick Jones to win.
Wow! One big announcment after another today. Boxing 2006=a great year for the sport.
Yes one big announsment after the other all day today actually all week this has been happening, whats next? We already have so many great fights for the first six months of the year and more keep turning up wow, I dont want to jump ahead of things but this might be the big turn around that boxing needs to get the publics FULL ATTENTION (if we dont have it already).
Maybe his asking price is too much.
If money was the case I dont think Tarver would be anywhere near the set of this movie have we forgotten that he wants 50/50 for his fight against Mike.
Here are my wishes for the year 2006
1) For Morales to defeat Pac
2) For Castillo to defeat Corrales
3) For Judah Vs. Mayweather fight to happen
4) Castillo fights Cotto and destroys him
5) JCC JR. to improve his skills and start fighting bigger names
6) For Lacy to beat Joe
7) For the Telefutura boxing to keep up their great work with the "big" fights they continue to show every friday.
8) Finally for Juan Manuel Marquez to start making his name heard in top fights.
every topic u start is about pacquiao and morales..they both are overrated...morales starved himself to be @ 122 and pacquiao has a good punch but cant fight..neither 1 would be champ at 130
First of all prove that Morales is overrated, cause I dont think your are dropping facts to say something as stupid as this, I will agree with you pac cant box he is just a puncher, but before you start talking shit about Morales being overrated please drop some sirious facts of why Morales is any where near being the possibility of being overrated. Please Dino I really like to know, what my 20 20 vison is missing on Morales
Manny knows he can hurt Morales if Morales tries to brawl. That's what they expected the first fight (Morales brawling). They thought that the event BEING SO BIG would even fuel Terible to trade wit Pac and try to knock him out. Pac really expected Morales to FIGHt him and knock him out. He even asked Cortez in the locker room if HE CAN HIT TERIBLE EVEN IF HE's DOWN. LOL!
Pacquiao can improve his gameplan in the rematch while Morales can't do much. Morales can box well, BUT PAC KNOW THIS NOW. Morales can brawl if he wants, and Manny knows he has the edge if it happens.
Not to mention that Pac only has a few things to worry about now. Morales' jab, Morales' straight punches (to belly too) and proper distance.
Pacquiao will win this fight and send Terible to retirement.
You are not telling me much at all that is what pac should have worried about the first fight and he obiously didnt, like I said before Morales has a new trainer his names is Jose Luis "Maestro" Lopez so not even me and I am hard core Morales fan know exactly what to expect Morales to do all I know is that he has Pac's number all the way the end.
Im going to go to the store for a minute but I will reply to any little thread you might have about pac in a bit believe me i will.
Im going to say Zab by decision he is just more confortable on this weight than Floyd, I mean he has been at this weight a hole lot longer, Floyd looked a bit slow last time he fought against Mitchell and his punches where not as strong as they are at 140. I also dont think Zab can KO Floyd because Floyd has some defense that is hard to break only few have been able to do that (Castillo for one) so a KO by Zab over Floyd is extremely hard. That is why I pick Zab to decision Floyd.
Although I have never been a Cotto fan at all, all of this fights are very exciting match ups and I think Cotto is ready for this fights, he showed he had some what of a decent chin against Torres but Castillo, Hatton, Zab, and Mayweather, have huge strengt, have been around for just bit longer, not only that but this four guys are at the top of their game so I think expirience wise as well as strength they all have the winning edge over Cotto for sure.
Mayweather wins-UD
Castillo wins-TKO-KO
Hatton wins-TKO
Zab wins-UD
Lmao you saw that fight? I was their I watched it and people were booing they kept telling javier to fight! stop running. that javier guy ran scared.
That is not true "Chatito" was all over the place this guy could not get a shot on him, I saw this fight sover so I think "Chatito" really played it smart and out school him with expirience, I saw him beat this guy all night connecting him from every angle, he WAS moving a lot slidding left and right but only to "Chatito" advantage isnt that what boxing and being able to beat a guy is all about never put your self in a position where you know your are going to get hit. Sorry I dont agree with you. But its your opinion so Ill respected but I really dont agree with you. Sorry!
