immaturity comes in many flavors. this is mine.
there is a thread right now about who has a better chin margo or cotto. it's obviously margo but i'm saying cotto for the sake of arguement. i have a love/hate relationship with this forum. sometimes people provide amazing insight and opinions on things. but at times like this when someone is clearly wrong and all they can do is back pedal. they go into attack mode instead of retreating how they're supposed to. you can NOT defend the actions of margarito or justify them in any way shape or form. it simply isn't possible. the cotto fans, me included, went into hiding after his defeat. i didn't see the fight when it aired, but due to the outcome i've avoided watching it. i've seen the highlights and the round the fight ended in but never the length of it. i was genuinely heartbroken over it, so to find out this overgrown chicano is a cheater. it gives me all the right to be a dick and pop as much shit as i'd like. why? cause like everyone has said a million times already. "you wouldn't use them against mosley and not in the biggest fight of your life."

People will always want to see action packed bloody violent messes like the UFC provides. Like I said its like comparing rugby to football. With UFC its quick and to the point. Less rounds, more action. Boxing will be phased out quicker with the increasing popularity of the UFC. Mark my words.

I'm an idiot for posting an observation I made? I'm not saying UFC fighters are more attractive than boxers. You're missing the point. (Especially with the **** up ass cauliflowering you see happening to 90% of those guys ears) What I'm saying is that women are more into UFC right now. In my entire life I've met ONE woman that I could say was well versed in boxing and really knew her shit. Other than that, I haven't met a chick that I could get to sit through a 12 round fight that wasn't some sort of mega fight that she had heard about from word of mouth or guys at work.
Who cares about women fans/groupies as you call them? Businesses looking to survive. The majority of markets are controlled by women. Ever heard of Oprah? She can make or break a business. If Oprah tommorow said, "I absolutely love UFC" I would be willing to bet my house that every PPV would be doing 2,000,000+ buys. The majority of commercials and products made are all marketed towards women. Mind you the UFC doesn't even purposely market itself towards women, but some how it has caught their eye and they are all over it.

Who cares what they have to "rely" on to get it done. The point is it gets it done. Its marketing. UFC is sold as this brutal, worlds strongest man, only the strong survive, high intensity, violent, raging sport. Boxing when matched up against it seems so slow and calculated and boring. Kind of like comparing football to soccer. Don't get me wrong I'm a boxing freak to the end, but I'm just as much a fan of UFC and it worries me how boxing will survive the increasing popularity of UFC. There are only so many real fans left. Boxing can't survive with casual viewers.
