Funny when *****s make such a big deal about the 50-0 record, seeing wins over Berto and McGregor as legit. But now they'll try to downplay this other guys 50-0 record, even though all his wins have been against mandatories and ranked contenders... Mayweather beat over 20 different champions, he won belts in four divisions, and beat numerous pro's ranked in the top 10 and even the top 3 p4p. The 50-0 is not the impressive part, it was doing it against the best competition (except for the last two) that is so impressive. Quit crying. Trying to compare beating p4p guys and the top opponent in five different divisions with a midget is ridiculous. Wouldn't Murata, the WBA "regular" champ, be the mandatory? I have not heard that Jacobs is mandatory, just that he won a final eliminator. That does not mean he is the next mandatory. Link? That is why he is pushing for the fight. If Jacobs was mandatory for a belt g has, and Charlo wasn't, that Charlo would want the fight and Jacobs wouldn't. But the only reason Jacobs wants that fight is to get another title shot and the $ that comes with it. The WBC actually ordered GGG to rematch Canelo next. So in that sense, it is a mandated fight, and the sanctioning bodies have an agreement not to issue conflicting mandatory orders to unified champions. It could be the IBF are waiting for the outcome of Canelo's hearing on the 18th before deciding whether to order GGG to fight their mando. If the rematch is just postponed, rather than cancelled because of a suspension for Canelo, they will probably wait till after it's over before ordering the winner to fight Derevyanchenko. The WBC did order the rematch. Now if that fight is off, it is the IBF's turn. I don't see what they would wait for Canelo's hearing for. That fight is off, even if he isn't suspended. I guess they could wait and let g fight some complete joke and then rematch Canelo. But if that is the case, I would think Dereyvanchenko would have a good argument that he should come before Vanes. Vanes!?! Wtf!?! This makes absolutely zero sense for g. The IBF is next, Derevyanchenko is going to be their mandatory. G is going to have to fight him. Why not take him when g has a full training camp and Derevyanchenko only has three weeks? If it is for refusing to fight Derenvhchyko, then yea, they probably should. In no particular order, Charlo, Andrade, BSJ, Jacobs, Canelo, and g are all middleweights. All are better than Derenvhchyko. That makes Derenwhatever, at best, the 7th best middleweight. If a champion has no fight scheduled, and isn't willing to fulfill his mandatory, which again, might be the 7th best MW, then, well, isn't that when organizations are supposed to strip champions?

It is a joke that anyone organization would allow such a fight. Derevyanchenko doesn't stand a chance against g with a full training camp, let alone on three weeks notice. g should just go ahead and get it out of the way. It would shut me and everyone else up, and he still would be fighting a gatekeeper with three weeks notice on May 5th and rematch Canelo or unify with BSJ in the fall.

But they can't strip a champion for failing to obey a mandatory order, if the order hasn't even been issued! Duh, but they can reject an opponent today and order a mandatory tomorrow. Also, this is the IBF. They don't f around. Once they order a mandatory that is the champ's next fight. No step-asides and gimmicks like the others. If g waits for this to be mandated, then he will have to fight Derevyanchenko next, and not on May 5th, but after Derevyanchenko had a full training camp.

I'm baffled by a statement from Dibella, saying that if GGG vs Martirosyan is finalised, the IBF will strip GGG of their title. How can a champion be stripped for not fighting his mando, if he hasn't been formally ordered to do it? And the IBF can't order GGG to fight his mando next if he's already signed a contract to fight someone else. Is it possible that the IBF might have ordered GGG to fight Derevyanchenko without announcing it to anyone? From my understanding, all three sanctioning bodies for the belts g holds, needs to accept or deny any opponent for those belts. It appears at this time, that the IBF has not decided if they will enforce their rules and mandate G fight Derevyanchenko before any optional. For g to sign a contract to fight someone else, he needs the blessing of the IBF. That is why a contract with Martirosyan has not been signed. The ibf said no. Apparently they have not confirmed if they will allow anyone besides Derevyanchenko to be g's next opponent or not. And without their consent, their is no fight, so no signed contracts. I'm not sure if the IBF turned down Vanes, because he is such a weak opponent, or if they are just waiting to decide if they are going to enforce Derevyanchenko as mandatory and G's next opponent.

Vanes spent his entire career at a lower weight. He has not fought in two years. He lost two of his last three fights. He lost three of his last six outings. With all of those, disadvantages, to also fight him while g has a full training camp and Vanes gets a couple of weeks, is indefensible. It really is. Also, g is going to have to fight Derevyanchenko or BSJ or maybe Canelo next, if he actually stoops low enough to fight Vanes next. Once the IBF orders a title fight, there are no step-asides or any other tricks. It is you fight the mandatory NEXT or you are stripped of the title. I believe a unification fight, might be the one exception. It is possible, they would hold have on ordering Derevyanchenko if g agrees to a fight with Canelo in the fall before anything is ordered. It is not alright to fight Vanes at any point for any legitimate champion or contender at 160 pounds.

You totally missed my point. Your rage has your mind in tunnel vision mode. Its not rage, I have nothing against Bud. Just I hold him to the same standards as every other professional fighter. Being the same size as all the welterweights and yet having at least 7 other active pro boxers with better opposition, does not make one p4p. It means one looks great against smaller, less skilled pros. No offense to Postol and Diaz, they are good fighters and have accomplished more than most ever will, but beating them does is not the same as beating DSG and Porter or Brook and Peterson. It isn't. Postol and Diaz, are good, but they are second tier. They are not elite. They are one step below that. I give props for having balls and taking the tough fights. Broner might not be that great at all, but guess what? He is much smaller than Bud and not nearly as talented and he has fought three opponents who put Postol and Indongo to shame.
