Maybe. Skill wise definitely yes but Pac grew naturally bigger. Have to wait to see how JMM continues to look at the higher weights but its 2 totally different styles so its hard to say What do you mean by this? It is quite vague. Boxing is not just based on skills, you know that. theres size, power, and styles to factor in.

as of right now? probably SR he gets overrated often but he's one of if not the greatest fighter ever from mexico. his resume is incredible. lots of bums on there, but what a run he had. over a huge period of time, too. floyd beats up a few top flight scalps and i'll put him in the discussion with guys of that tier. i think floyd's a better fighter and would beat SR in virtually every weight class in which he campaigned. i think the best fight would be at 130. floyd's classic perhaps. most great fighters have one, but floyd's never been pushed enough to be in one. i think chavez' chin, consistency, and power at 130 would give floyd some issues. i still think floyd beats him in a decision. i have a hard time seeing anybody without huge physical advantages beating floyd mayweather, maybe duran or benny leonard, but those are superhuman fighters at 135 and beyond chavez. perhaps whitaker at 135 i dont think a smaller pressure fighter fits the bill for a style to beat mayweather. What about their respective accomplishments? Legacies?

Has Morales got 42-0. Has Morales got the highest PPV. Has Morales got the best defence. Is Morales even relevant today. Going undefeated is so shallow a criteria. Want some more example? What about JCC jr? Are you hoing to tell me he is better than Mike McCallum? When has PPV become a barometer for greatness? Defense is a vague criteria to become quantifiable. How you measure the thing? By observing? So boxing becomes a diving competition now? You rate it by being like a judge of pageant competetions? Wow, try harder boy.

As for his resume, the difference is prime fighters opted to fight Morales, while the prime fighters floyd called out when moving up, Floyd, Shane, Kosta, Manny all refused to fight floyd when they were prime. Its hard to penalize floyd for that. And erik still hasn't fought JMM. I dunno about the "refused" thing, but bottomline those fights that mattered for Floyd never happened at the right time. Oscar was 2-3 years late. Mosley and Cotto too. Marquez who was old was undersized compared to him. Morales had no problem facing the best in , around his weightclass. At no point in his lifetime would erik morales ever be able to beat floyd mayweather jr if they fought. Erik is a greaat champion, a 1st ballot HOF'er and a has given us some legendary fights. But on his best day he would get anhilated by floyd. And thats not a knock on morales but floyd is superior to him in every way! Head to Head match-up has little to do with rating greatness relative to each other. So Look at Roy Jones and Glen Johnson. Johnson beat Jones but have you seen any ATG list that has Johnson over Roy? Zero.

Johnson won Jones when Roy was far from his prime..Mayweather was able to beat Erik at any point of his carier.. OK... Sandy Saddler beating Willie Pep? Junior Jones beating Marco Antonio Barrera?

Johnson, at some point in Roy's life, was able to KO him. At no point in floyd's life will erik ever be able to do that. As for accomplishments, floyd mayweather has been one of the 2 or 3 best p4p fighters in the world for roughly 8-10 years. His resume speaks for itself. Morales has had great fights, but Ward and Gatti had 3 great ones and that doesn't make them any better fighters. I have tremendous respect for morales. But any way you cut it, titles, weight classes, p4p, skills, he can't compare to floyd mayweather. I cant understand why you bring up Gatti-Ward fight in here. You really want to bring up resumes? OK... Daniel Zaragoza, Junior Jones, Hernandez, McCullogh, Ayala, Espadas are at least comparable to Floyd's laundry list of fighters beaten. (Hernandez, Coralles, Castillo, Judah, Corley) Floyd's HOF beaten: Dela Hoya, Mosley, Marquez (All OLD! Marquez was Damn Undersized!) Morales has Barrera and Pacquiao... Prime. There is just no one in Mayweather's resume as quality of a name as those two... NOBODY...

I do believe Floyd should/will fight Sergio, only after Martinez has done away with Chavez jr and has become a legit money maker. I cant see Leonard having any problems with the guys on Floyd's resume. I think he beats 'em all worse than Floyd did. (specially Marquez and Hatton) I cant say the same for Floyd doing the same about the scalps in Leonard's resume.

I'm not BoxRec anything, I'm listing what I remember to be each guys best and most notable wins. If Kostya Tszyu is a no doubt HOF fighter, and HE IS, he's already in the HOF.....than why aren't Hatton, Corrales, Castillo, and G. Hernandez even in the conversation??? Also, if they aren't even in the conversation, than how is Barry Mcguigan, Floyd Patterson, and James Braddock in????? And I like Floyd Patterson. Patterson's best wins were Moore, Harris, Johansson, McNeeley, Cooper, Bonavena, and London. He was actually similar to Hatton in the sense that he was one of the best at his weight in his era, but failed against his two best opponents (Patterson vs. Liston & Ali, Hatton vs. Mayweather & Pacquiao). Look at the resumes of those couple guys off the top of my head that are in the HOF, and than the resumes of Hatton, Corrales, Castillo, and G. Hernandez, and then tell me why they aren't even considered to be in the conversation??? If Boxing wants to start getting picky on who's in and who's not in, than they started way too late. They've let way too many people in the HOF that would be deemed not worthy to be in it if they were fighting today. Beat Tszyu H2H, when Tszyu was the #1 JWW in the world. Castillo's wins: Stevie Johnston, Cesar Bazan, Juan Lazcano, Joel Casamayor, Julio Diaz, Diego Corrales, and Herman Ngoudjo. Should also have a win over Mayweather probably. Corrales' wins: Robert Garcia, Derrick Gainer, Justin Juuko, Angel Manfredy, Joel Casamayor, Acelino Freitas, and Jose Luis Castillo. G. Hernandez' wins: Daniel Londas, Raul Perez, Jorge Paez, Carlos Hernandez, Carlos Gerena, and Anatoly Alexandrov. Dominated at 130 until he met Floyd, the way Tszyu did until he met Hatton. Don't get me wrong, I think Tszyu is in the HOF and deserving, but how is he no doubt in the HOF, but Hatton-Corrales-Castillo-G. Hernandez aren't even mentioned as possibilities????? You can boxrec all you want but im reall terribly sorry. Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, Hernandez are good fighters but isnt exactly HOF fighters. If you put mote objectivity into it or a little more knowledge, maybe you can understand. Go to the history section and ask those scholars there if these guys are HOFs... Castillo was the #1 LW in the world without a doubt and had beaten Stevie Johnston. And Ricky Hatton was unbeaten and #8 P4P, and beat the HOF fighter Tszyu on his resume. How were those not really good wins??? I swear.
