Hey D.C read above. And yeah, The Aaron Riley fight really killed the mood. There we much better fights in the prelim they could have shown. There are a 2 major difference between MMA and boxing. 1. The fighters at MMA are basically fighting with bare knuckles. I was just thinking that HBO did a special on Luis Resto, who took padding off his gloves and fought Collins and beat him severely. When I saw footage of the gloves that Resto used, it looked like it still had 5-6 ounces of padding. Yet MMA fighters use gloves that has less padding. So the probability of ko are higher. 2. MMA fighters do not get standing 8 count to regroup. So, it makes it look like MMA fighters are less able to withstand punches. Can you imagine how many boxing matches would have been stopped if they took away a boxers chance to clear his head.

newbie on this site I am a fan of both pac and cotto and have underestimated them on a lot of their fights. I thought Pac would lose to Lebwada and definitely to Barerra, then when he lost to Morales, I thought for sure that was it for his rise to fame. He showed his limits with Marquez but showed his grit with wins over Morales. I was amazed with the win over De la Hoya (no excuses) and thought he would have hard time with Hatton. At the same time, Cotto showed a lot of heart with wins over Torres and his lost to Margarito. He showed his desire with wins over quintana, mosley and clottey. To disrespect either guy shows a lot of disrespect to the sport. Pac is not overrated and Cotto is underated. Can we just admire these two warriors who give us fans the pleasure of never being disappointed with their effort, skill and bravery when they step into the ring. Every fight that I have watch these two guys, I have never been disappointed. It doesnt matter who loses in November, both can hold their head up for accepting the challenge to become great. How does this work again? If Pac fights Mosley or Marquez or any other fighter Pac will get 15million or more. If Marquez fights Pac, he will get at least 3 million, but if he doesn't he will earn much less with another fighter?? So, once again, does it really make any sense to complain??

Marquez beats Katsidis and he is ready for Pac? It really amazes me how some of you are now saying that Marquez is ready for pac because of his win over Katsidis. Did you guys watch the fight?? Katsidis has the worse right hand I have ever seen. He throws it looping with no power. He only has the left hook to use. Basically a one handed fighter almost the same as pac was years ago. But yet he gave Marquez all he could handle at 135. I would rather watch Pac fight Berto, an undefeated young black fighter for another welterweight title.

Next fight: Margarito vs. Marquez While Pac is fighting Shane, let Marquez fight Margarito and really expose Margarito as an easy fight for anyone. lol.

147 limit? Still don't understand the reasoning why people are upset with this. Marquez can come in at any weight correct?? So why not come in at 140 and let Pac come in at what he wants. Will only be about 5 pounds difference by fight night, so what is the big deal? Still don't understand why Marquez will turn it down????

Pacquioa should be afraid of Marquez The way Marquez is acting is like a jilted girlfried who is stalking Pacquiao at every turn. LIke an ex-girlfried, Marquez should just understand that pac used you and has now moved on. Go find another guy to cry over a cold glass of piss.

Wow. Amazing It amazes me how a simple thread about 2 fighters turn into degrading a country's people, economy, government, physical and mental stature. With the state of the world, specially in the U.S. with the economic crisis, war where young men and women dying, terrorists attacks and new diseases. How can anybody still have that type of mentality?

Ok Marquez mentions two things Marquez states that he doesn't care about the weight and that he will fight Pac at any weight. Then he says that he is a more viable opponent and better opponent than Shane Mosley. Not once did he mention that he didn't care about the money and that he will take any amount to get back at Pac. So, to me Marquez is bullsh*tting. He should come out and say that he will accept the 3million dollar offer just to get his hands on Pac. LOL.
