Former three time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito is already back in the gym training. On November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas, Margarito took a very vicious twelve round beating from Manny Pacquiao. He suffered a few injuries and was forced to undergo surgery to repair a broken orbital bone in his right eye. Margarito's trainer, Robert Garcia, told Miguel Rodriguez that his boxer is already back in the gym.

"Margarito is great. After the fight he spent time in Oxnard, then returned to Las Vegas for a week and is now back in Mexico. But he's fine. As everyone knows, the surgery was a success and he's back in the gym. I would like for him to take a break, to stop boxing and enjoy life. He is coming off a tough fight, but he wants to be in the gym. He loves being in shape," Garcia said.

Margarito's promoter, Top Rank, would like to place him in rematch with WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto in June 2011.
