I hate the fact journalists keep reporting it is a 52-48 split. The split is 50-50 with Arum giving Pac more out of his own pocket. I know it doesn't really matter but its bad journalism. Fact should be the basis of any article surely.
Yeah if they did fight I think Calzaghe would probably win by first round TKO and the only way Kimbo could hit Joe would be if Joe's shoes were glued to the floor.
I personally don't even think Kimbo hits that hard so Joe could take his shots.

The page on the setanta site showing upcoming fights was posted November 28. That article lists both fights but I think that maybe they haven't updated that page yet. At the moment I still don't think they have the Cotto/Jennings fight.
On the actual TV listings from the site it only shows the Pavlik fight.
I agree he should be fighting more. He has been taking to many shots so maybe they are working hard on changing up his style behind the scenes. Maybe he is injured he definitely isn't fighting enough for a young fighter.
I think all this p4p stuff is just a technique to get the casual British fans interested in the fight. It's strange that all this p4p title stuff wasn't being mentioned every five minutes when Hatton fought Mayweather. There is no way a victory over Manny at 140 gives Hatton a greater claim to being no.1 in the sport than a victory over Floyd at 147.
I even saw an interview with Freddie Roach where he said it was a fight between the two best fighters in the world.
Everyone involved in promoting this fight is trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the casual fans. In order to generate as much money as possible for this fight and to heighten interest in the winner of this fight v Floyd.
Even if the fight was made at 168 Dawson would be way too big and strong for Williams come fight night. Williams would be crazy to take this fight.
Williams weighed under 170 last night. He doesn't have the punching power to keep Dawson off him and I think he would be knocked out.
I really don't think Williams should fight higher than 160.
Williams is a guy who has been fighting in the Welterweight division recently and now we hear talk of him fighting one of the top if not the top Light Heavyweight in the world.
Williams may be a freak of nature but he is not superman.
Neither is gay. American's seem to be so homophobic. Straight guys comfortable in their sexuality messing about by either wearing a thong for a joke or singing. Nothing gay there at all.
Because they're too many pussy ass Europeans in boxing today. Not racist, I'm European, but I know what I know, and Euros are not good for boxing. Example, Kessler and Klitschko sisters.
Don't include Brits in that, Brits come to fight.
They've been very good for the sport in Europe.
54% of German households tuned in to Vitali-Gomez. The fight was shown all over the world, and made a lot of money.
The people who bash them are usually either Haye fans, or people who want an African-American heavyweight champion.
To me, the Klitschko brothers are the best thing that's ever happened to the sport of boxing! :fing02:
It was 54% of the viewing audience not of every household. If it was the 54% of the population the viewing figures in Germany alone would have been over 45 million.
These are hardly the kind of negotiations you want to see from the Heavyweight champs of the world.
Keeping nearly all the money and insisting on two rematch clauses? I find that pathetic.
Round one to Haye for being the bigger man, taking all that crap and still signing for the fight.
The Klit brothers attempt to monopolize the heavyweight division by making their opponents jump through hopes is nothing but bad for boxing.
These guys need to learn to respect the sport.
I think Wlad's a good guy but I hope he gets sparked out, and Vitali's fans - get over it Lewis won!
He didn't break his hand! He said his hands were fine in this fight but he was reluctant to throw possibly due to the past injuries playing on his mind.
Calling a thread "Malignaggi broke his hand", when he said himself there was no problem is pretty stupid.
What you said was -
"Now they can bury him next to his friend/band-mate on Sun. 2/22/09!"
That's a pathetic comment to make I'd like to see you say that to Jennings face. A young guy with a bright future died, pay some respect.
Klitscho fight done deal - Haye
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7782894.stm
David Haye claims he has agreed a deal to fight WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko in London next June.
He said the deal was done in Germany after he had seen Klitchko's brother, Wladimir, beat Hasim Rahman to retain his IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.
Haye told the BBC: "We sat down and talked numbers that made sense for both sides, and it's done and dusted.
"We agreed terms and just need to dot the I's and cross the T's. Plain and simple, this is how boxing should be."
Haye has had one fight at heavyweight, knocking out Monte Barrett in five rounds, since stepping up from cruiserweight, at which he was undisputed world champion.
Vitali Klitschko boasts an impressive record of 35 wins and two losses from his 37 fights, the latter defeat at the hands of Lennox Lewis in Los Angeles in 2005.
The Ukrainian reclaimed the WBC belt - which he had vacated in 2005 by announcing his retirement - with a comprehensive victory over Samuel Peter in October.
"This is going to be the biggest fight since Lennox (Lewis) and (Mike) Tyson," Londoner Haye, 28, told BBC Radio Five Live.
"I have said from day one I am going to be the undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion. I have not disappointed.
"I am not cherry-picking, I am going after the most dangerous fighter on the planet."
I think Cleverley has potential and he seems to have matured alot since he left Enzo. He's still a young guy with a good head on his shoulders and he is getting on with his business without to much fanfare.
He has always shown a good skill set but now he is adding power and becoming a much more complete fighter.
Onwards and upwards for him.
Come on Pacman is massively popular but he doesn't have the PAYING fan base like Hatton does. This is the key point. 20,000 Brits will likely fly to Vegas and fill the casino's and arena. This fight will most likely do under 1 million PPV buys in the States but could well do up to 2 million PPV buys in the UK.
With Hatton bringing so much money to this fight how the hell can he be expected to take a 60-40 split? It's crazy!!
My PPV estimates are based on Mayweather v Hatton doing 900k in the States and around 1.6 mill in the UK. I believe DLH V Pac did around 1.25 mill in the States. So it is hard to see Pac v Hatton can do over a mill in the States when they were both the secondary draw in fights that averaged just over 1 mill.
In the UK however Hattons popularity grew after the Mayweather fight and the chance to see Hatton fight the p4p 1 for a second time, when that fighter has just knocked out DLH makes it a mouth watering clash. It is hard to measure but I feel DLH and Pac could both be more popular in the UK than floyd.
