sweaty and french braids doesn't sound so bad :D
I can agree with that, and unless its 116 pounds on a 4-foot-nothing girl, then her body must be pretty decent....
A picture is worth a thousand words though, so you all should hook us boys up with an avatar of yourselves :)
BB?? Butter-Biscuits? Banana butterfly? Baby butt? - All of the above. :D I know you are coz you sound very feminine. Nice to have you here.
Watch out T-Hop: I think pretty boy likes you...
Big, Bad Otis
He lost to Jimmy, who happened to be sick, and was chosen by the previous winners. Otis wasn't a good boxer at all, he had a few decent shots, but has no real skill.
Does anyone know how much longer KT's contract is with Showtime. If that ran up, then he'd have easy access to Gatti and Mayweather, otherwise he is losing out on two of the biggest names in boxing.
I'm not sure if KT will fight Harris until he has a name in the game. KT specifically said big name opponents, and Harris isn't that yet. He has the potential, but no one outside the boxing world knows anything about him, and that won't deliver KT what he wants.
This fight will never happen, regardless of whether Mayorga stays retired or not. He would never be able to drop down to that weight. It would be a 140 and a 160 meeting in the middle ... doubt it.
First off, before you debate this...remember, Mayweather is probably going to jail for beating his woman, so it may never happen. I think he's facing six years, and it's not the first time he's done it. If he got his shit together that would be great but who knows what he's been doing. I gotta pick KT, but I do enjoy Mayweather fights, so I hope they happen again.
What he says and what he does will be two completely different things.
I don't see why he would change his style, which has been so successful. I don't even think he can reprogram his style to become more entertaining anyways. If he starts brawling with Gatti, and is losing, there's no way he won't return to his boxer style.
Besides, to boxing fans who appreciate a solid "boxer," PBF fights are always entertaining.
This will be his 1st PPV fight, and if he doesnt give the fans what they want then it will be his last, but he knows if he goes toe to toe he can become a attraction that he could even take some of Gatti's fans for his next PPV event.
There is also a big difference between what the fans want and what they get. Fighters want to please the fans, but boxing is still a business. If you win, business is good. If you lose, the big fights fade away, and so does the money.
Mayweather's far enough along in his career where he doesn't have to worry about his fans as much. He has them. Instead, he has to worry about getting the big fights, and that means sticking to with what works: solid boxing skills + solid defense = wins.
Training may somewhat transform Mayweather into a more offensive fighter, but when it comes down to it, instinct is what takes over in a fight. Some people are aggressive (Gatti) and some are defensive.
If he loses his fight with Gatti because he tries to get into a huge brawl, it doesn't matter if the fans are pleased.
PBF will outbox Gatti, but it won't be a huge blowout. Gatti has improved, but not enough skills to take out PBF.
Also, Gatti, who has made fights more difficult than they should be, still has to get passed JJL, who isn't completely done yet.
He and PBF should both win though, as long as they don't look ahead to June. Hope this fight happens because everyone wants it.
Boxing works but now his contract is up. He wasnt filling up the seats because he wasnt exciting and now you see HBO isnt trying to give Floyd shit but chump change. Sure he could still get big fights, but the difference is if he brawls and the fans like it then more people will come to his fights and more people will by PPV. He could have a big fight now for 3 million but if he brawls then he could have that same fight for 6 million and so on and so on. Why do you think Gatti makes all that money.
Like you said, brawlers like Gatti may get more money and are on PPV...but when they lose because they don't box, then it all goes away.
I would love to see Mayweather and Gatti have non-stop action...don't get me wrong. And I know Mayweather wants his money, but he has to be worried about losing and not getting any. Not that he is going to lose against Gatti...
There is no way Fahsan 3K Battery can take out Pac, and I'm no biased Pac lover. I'd say everything you've heard up to this point is all hype, trying to build up the fight. As long as Pac comes into this fight clear-headed and not worrying about future fights, then it should be a tune-up...but then again, we are talking about boxing.
I had Chico and Winky on my original list but when I tried to make it a poll it messed it all up... Defenitly both solid candidates.
I disagree with Vitali Klitschko, Andrew Golota, and even Tarver/Johnson winner - must face it - both beat an incomplete Jones. Pac also didn't do enough in my mind to become fighter of the year.
Thanks for the feedback...
now the question is does manny wanna go up 4 more pounds?
...And does MAB want to fight Pac after the result of their first fight?
I don't see him backing down to Pac though - he's a true champ - but who else is there?
Yeah I'd love to see it ... They better make it through their "tune-up" boughts. I'd go with Floyd by UD but would love to see a KOs by either fighter.
Talking simply power versus pound-for-pound power is completely different.
Of course a heavyweight will have more power than the lighter weight classes.
Now current top three pound for pound punchers:
Tszyu
Cotto
Pac
Byrd's the only noteable heavyweight that could possibly do it. Try to think of anyone else...
Most of the top-name lighter weights can -
Morales
Hopkins
Spinks
JMM
maybe Castillo
