Nothing comes close to a Naseem entrance but Wlad does do grand entrances.
It was immense being in the arena when all those fireworks went off on the roof, can always say I've witnessed a Wlad ring entrance now.
from a sales point of view degale is obviously a big draw in the UK, should get out of nottingham and up to manchester and bring the event to the people with Brook having a tune up on the undercard and gavin rees getting his title shot on the same night
I had to stop following the cunt... he literally chats ****. I couldn't understand 90% of what he was on about
maybe the american fans can help me out is he in a world of his own or is his dialect just lost on me being a Brit?
Haye is a smart man no doubt.
He went from a loser with a toe injury last year, to getting the headlines and starting more heavyweight buzz ...
he's still a loser.... as Boente said Chisora showed more heart than Haye did in defeat
Chisora may have lost to Fury but he has come back from that despite what his record says.... he was robbed against Helenius and put on the best challenge a Klit has seen in a long long time
What's Haye done? Robbed the British public and ruined peoples perceptions of boxing by hand picking Harrison and then wilting in front of a superior specimen in Wladimir
Chisora started the buzz with his antics that entire weekend, not Haye with his usual leech like behaviour trying to get a piece of the action with his big gob again
Im starting to believe the toe injury was real. This guy is the quickest striker Ive ever seen in any sport.
I wanna see him fight Wlad again fully healthy.
thats pretty funny... Wlad would school him again / possibly bang him out
Vitali on the other hand would lose to Haye's speed (trough age which would seem to have caught up with him)
But Haye glassed Del Boy.
are you sure?
I don't remember Chisora complaining about it at the time ;)
"HE GLAAAAARRRRSED ME"...... "I SWEAR TO GOD DAVID"
CHISORA :D
I don't really understand why he would hide from the police, I'm pretty sure he has nothing to worry about. Oh well, he's probably sat at home enjoying all the publicity he got.
he probably just culdn't be arsed being "detained" in Germany so went home straight away knowing he can be questionned retrospectively... as chisora has been charged with nothing it probably isn't that important now... it's odd that Haye has gone off the radar though.... it's nights like last night I wish I was a boxing journalist (well it'd be a cool job anyway)
Silly boy he's throwing His talent away
he seems to have lost the plot since the Katsidis defeat, it's been a year now and not so much as a warm up bout
IF Froch had Khan's chin he would've never made it past domestic level.
Froch's chin defies science at times haha
what the **** is carl up to in your signature, is that piece of footage on youtube? looks hilarious
froch beat dirrell and kessler in both pundits and press rows eyes, terrible post from a terrible poster..., i can see why you are in the red...
the fella has an interesting take on things doesn't he :D
some may contest the Dirrell & Kessler fights but to call them anything but close decisions is just hating on Froch
I aint sure how this fight will go on Saturday... gutted I am in wales with no access to sky or the net this weekend so will be sky plussing it and watching it Sunday evening avoiding all media outlets before hand. Fingers crossed. Johnson will be tough to outbox and Carl ain't delivered a KO since Taylor. I am with you on the notion he could cope with Ward
I wasn't impressed w/ Froch in the Dirrell fight. He actually surprised me in the Kessler and AA fight. He complained that Dirrell ran all night but he actually mirrored Dirrell's gameplan against AA and will do the same against Johnson. If Froch boxes Johnson he will win but he cannot outbox Ward or Dirrell or Kessler.
he went from slugger to technical boxer, but he wasn't running from side to side with his hands in the air, like Dirrell was. And Froch has it in his locker to offer both aspects. it aint like he is scared of taking shots. So he is capable of switching styles.
I don't tink anypne would have impressed against Dirrell that night, he was all over the ring, you've got to admire his fitness in doing so but he didn't engage and thats what lost him the fight as the challenger, he spoiled it. The gamble nearly paid off for Dirrell but for me Froch just edged it.
I agree with you though to beat Johnson he'll be best going with similar disciplined tactics like he did with Abraham. He can't get emotional if he gets stung by Johnson and start trading out of anger. He's seasoned enough to avoid this scenario though
Haye was there and has merely been quoted on his approval/enjoyment of the perfomance
But I echo many of the sentiments of the thread Froch is far more deserving of the hype Haye recieves, but its the dumb British media hyping Haye merely for being a heavy weight and the buying into the prestige of a has been division; combined with the poor promotion of Froch that leads to the situation the being way it is.
The British public would have been far more entertained by Froch vs Abraham than Haye vs Harrison, they just don't realise it cos they aren't spoon fed as to who Froch is and how good he is, unike Haye who imo deserves his plaudits but not so much as Froch and needs pulling up on his sham with Audley but wont be cos sky have vested interests in Hayes career now
Showtime SuperSix contract is signed and sealed. Semi final bouts are to take place in Vegas. And I actually think Abraham might drop out.
I heard Froch Johnson was gonna be in Nottingham?
It's always baffling at this stage when a fight is announced. Vegas would be great though, I am yet to go there and a trip over to see Froch would be a must.
Dude, he's Aussie. Now way JMM will win.
what a ridiculous argument, if anything his Greek heritage make him the fighter he is
Australia the hot bed of world boxing :D
I want Katsidis to win by the way, great fighter and couldn't care where he comes from
Umm yeah! If he's Aussie he will win. DUH! No, Greeks are soft punchers. :booty:
he is greek ffs, hardly a soft puncher is he; fact is he is greek/aussie! His surname isn't Katsidis by chance he doesn't clobber up like this
http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200702/r127174_415914.jpg
cos it reminds him of the aboriginal arts!
being australian is no more of a reason to be sure to win a fight than being from anywhere else.
Again I reiterate, I like katsidis, hope he comes back strong he stumped our lad Kevin Mitchell big time, I was there supporting Mitchell in London but Katsidis won me over big time that night. Plus his scrap with Earl was wild! I can respect him as I dont suffer with a blind patriotism for all things British...
Why do you have a picture of what appears to be Froch missing his punch against Taylor? Shouldn't you have a picture of a boxer landing a punch?
I just whacked the image in there as a mere memoir of what ended up being a great result for carl, he may have missed the punch but lookat taylor cowering, he's open for a swift right... hope this answers your question
Nobody cares, it's all about Froch vs. Abraham!
Well it's certainly my highlight of the weekend
Just thought I would quash my giddiness a bit and talk about some thing else for a while :D
quality
you know you're a boxing fan when you do the double biceps pose after you weigh yourself in the bathroom
Every time you take a piss you think about drinking it. (this is the best one)
Everytime you walk somewhere with your music playing you imagine your doing your ring entrance.
:D
I've met a lot of boxers in my life. Among them are:
George Foreman
Vitali Klitschko
Floyd Mayweather Jr (very cool)
Panchito Bojado
Jerry Quarry
David Tua (not friendly)
John Ruiz
Shane Mosley
Danny "Little Red" Lopez
I've also talked to Lampley and Merchant. Lampley was smug while Merchant was super nice.
cool list man
nearly as cool as the hot chick in your avatar :D
