Marquez has lost two out of his last five fights, and looked less than impressive in his rematch fight with Juan Diaz last July.
And Katsidis is Aussie = which mean he has explosive power and good hand speed.
;)
Micheal to KO JMM in 7.
Umm yeah! If he's Aussie he will win. DUH! No, Greeks are soft punchers. :booty:
he is greek ffs, hardly a soft puncher is he; fact is he is greek/aussie! His surname isn't Katsidis by chance he doesn't clobber up like this
http://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200702/r127174_415914.jpg
cos it reminds him of the aboriginal arts!
being australian is no more of a reason to be sure to win a fight than being from anywhere else.
Again I reiterate, I like katsidis, hope he comes back strong he stumped our lad Kevin Mitchell big time, I was there supporting Mitchell in London but Katsidis won me over big time that night. Plus his scrap with Earl was wild! I can respect him as I dont suffer with a blind patriotism for all things British...
what a ridiculous argument, if anything his Greek heritage make him the fighter he is
Australia the hot bed of world boxing :D
I want Katsidis to win by the way, great fighter and couldn't care where he comes from

Im picking Juan to win by KO, but this fight is going to be a war. Diaz gave Juan all he could handle until he was found out, and Kat can bring that kind of pressure with a punch behind it. The early rounds will be dangerous for JMM.

Did anyone read the article the other day that showed Marquez to be the oldest LW Champ in History? That made me think a little bit. Then I remembered the majority of his career was at LW, and he isnt the hardest guy to hit anymore....
I like Marquez, Im just a little nervous for him going into this one. I still expect him to win, logically, but my gut is actin funny whenever I try to picture it.
The way Marquez fights, plus his age does make this fight very dangerous, hopefully this fight goes some rounds so we can get a fight of the year candidate!!All my expectations for fight of the year died under the Punisher's broken body on Saturday, now I need new ones!!
Never lose hope... This week untill December has lots of fights and some of them could turn out to be a candidate.

Marquez has lost two of his last five...including two guys that would completely outclass Katsidis...one of whom many thought he actually beat. So, great points. I'm glad you brought them up. Two of his last five were also two knockout wins over guys that beat Katsidis. So, anyway, good thread.
