Kevin Mitchell & his Mother arrested for growing cannabis.

BOXING champ Kevin Mitchell and his mum have been nicked on suspicion of possessing cocaine and running a cannabis farm. Mitchell, 26, was held during an 8am raid on his family home following a tip-off. Police, seen removing bags in Dagenham, East London, allegedly found white powder and cannabis plants. Last night Mitchell's mum Alice O'Connor said: "I'm not prepared to talk." Ex-British titleholder Mitchell - tipped as a future world champ - is set to fight European lightweight king John Murray in June. He is being hauled in for talks today with "raging" promoter Frank Warren, who learned about the April 15 arrest from The Sun. Mitchell probably earns £20-30k every time he fights. Even if he only takes home around £30-50k after taxes, he can still live comfortably enough to not have to resort to growing weed. Boxers are some of the dumbest people on the planet. By the looks of the house you'd think he was unemployed. :lol1:

Mug. I had heard he had been on the gear on the lead up to the Katsidis fight too. He certainly looked like he was on something in the few seconds after the fight. On a serious note though, what a ****ing idiot. He earns a decent wedge from fighting, he's got a young kid/s, and despite the loss against Katsidis, could still achieve something in the sport.
