to me, it would be like human drama..
a guy who overcome his drug addiction. man discovery should make documantry from this
I wouldn't support the decision!
I've followed RH for more than 10 years...he shouldn't fight again and he deserves and should enjoy his retirement.
Would I support him? I'd be praying he didn't get hurt or embarassed
On a seperate note, Why is it that people like Froch, Hatton, Mitchell get alot more following and support from the British than Khan? He is more talented than the lot of them put together.
I assume you're not from Britain?
The fight that the world wants to see is Mayweather vs Pacquiao. The question is will it ever happen? Some believe that there is entirely too much money at stake to forgo this mega fight. It's been documented that the Mayweather camp believes that Pacquiao is using performance enhancing drugs and his refusal to take the Olympic style testing backs their claims. Floyd Mayweather himself has said in recent youtube clips that Pacquaio is on "power pellets", in other words steroids. The reason they believe this is because of the newly found energy, stamina and punch resistance Manny has exhibited against De La Hoya,Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito. A lot fans and boxing insiders believe that Manny is just a natural athlete who has dedicated his life to his craft. Did you notice anything unnatural about his last five fights? I certainly didn't, but it's not about what you or I think. Until Manny decides to take the test Floyd will never share the ring with him.
What if the scenario was reversed and it was Floyd who didn't want to take the test? No need to ponder an answer. He would be getting treated the same way he is now for asking Manny to take the test. See, that's where the double standard comes in to play. Somewhere in the mist of the Pacman destroying his last five opponents Floyd has lost the respect of many fans. But somehow Manny is excused for fighting the Mayweather left overs. The same guys some of you cursed Floyd for facing. Somehow it's ok for Manny to fight Oscar,Hatton, Marquez and Mosley. Besides the De La Hoya victory, Floyd was given no credit but excuses like "he's over the hill" or my personal favorite "he was too small". Then why aren't these same fighters too small for Pacquiao? Is the double standard do to race?
Why doesn't the media ever talk about the statements that Murad Muhammed said about Manny being "built" up. If anyone outside the Pacquiao camp knows whats going on it's ex-promoter Murad. Murad stated he made sure Manny fought no top level African American fighters when he came to America. It has been proven in many sports like the NFL and the NBA that to be considered the best you have to compete against African American athletes. Manny will finally fight an African American, enter Pomona, California native Shane Mosley. I guess a 38 year old shopworn and most importantly free agent Mosley is the perfect foe. Shane has been chasing this fight since last year when he said he would drop down to 142 pounds to fight Pacquiao. Either way it goes once Manny beats Shane he will be awarded status as the people champ when Floyd already beat the will out Mosley last May of 2010. I have came to the conclusion that no matter who Mayweather beats it won't be enough to satisfy the most media and fans. Im not claiming Floyd to be the best ever but he is certainly an all time great fighter. Ray Leonard dodged a fight with Marvin Hagler for five years. Yet he is considered an all time legend which he certainly is. Mike Tyson dodged a fight with George Foreman in 1990 and did the same with Lennox Lewis in 1996 for a reported 40 million dollars, yet only Floyd gets blasted for "ducking". I don't hear anyone calling Tyson a ducker. What about Oscar "ducking" the rematch with Trinidad? Is he a ducker? Floyd wants Manny to take the test, is that too much to ask or is it a double standard?
You provide some food for thought....but can you honestly say that floyd is not open to massive criticism, he's a great, great boxer....but skills alone don't give him a free ride, which he seems to want. You can't say the same about Pac, Tyson, Lewis to use your examples.
Floyd gets grief because he hasn't shown the desire to prove that he is the greatest, to really test himself against the best and put it all on the line like other greats have....and also because he's an arse. I don't believe race has much do with this at all.
Lewis had a full training camp for a fight and Vitali had 10 days. Still you seen what happend, Lewis didnt fight again for a reason. He knew what was coming.
Pretty sure this is wrong - wasnt Vit also training for a different opponent too?
Hatton is Americas Kelly Pavlik. When I hear one i imagine the other.
I assume you mean England's Kelly Pavlik? But I still don't get the comparison...
No he doesnt.
He did the most out of his career. He reached his absolute peak as an athlete.
He could never hang with the p4p elite and it is good that he quits for good.
this is spot on
That is not what i said, try reading it again...
Well...you said this:
The only logical conclusion is that Haye is using the chisora fight and his retirement plans as a pretext to avoid fighting Wlad or Vitali.
My point is Haye has no influence on Wlad's decision to fight Chisora, so difficult to understand how this was gonna be his excuse...unless he decided that today.
Another logical explanation is that Haye wants it and Wlad has chosen the easier fight.
I think it doesn't matter to Wlad which Klitschko beats hims (Haye), but i have feeling Wlad is trying to pass Haye off to Vitali, but Haye is more wary of Vitali.
I go with this 100%
A) Wlad still says he want to fight July 2nd so Haye sign the contract then call Wlad a ducker if he dosent show up.
B) Vitali is still out there and willing to fight.
C) Haye already pulled out once from fighting Wlad when Wlad was ready.
D) There is no reason for Haye to retire next year he is still in his prime.
E) LOL at Haye saying he can retire with his head held high and that he has done everything in his power to fight a Klitschko, Haye pulled out once against Wlad and won't consider Vitali. Also Haye done close to nothing at heavyweight, he run for twelve against Valuev, putting up a worse fight then 48 year old Holyfield. After that he he beat 40 year old Ruiz with illegal punches to the back of the head and participated in the worst fight of 2010 against Harrison.
The only logical conclusion is that Haye is using the chisora fight and his retirement plans as a pretext to avoid fighting Wlad or Vitali. Possibly Haye will make a comeback in five years time when both of the Klitschkos are retired...
The only logical explanation is Haye made Wlad sign to fight Chisore so he could use it as an excuse?
Interesting theory....
The only thing Ricky Hatton proved in boxing is that his glass jaw shatters on impact and he will sleep in the ring on a moments notice. What a complete joke Hatton is even saying he has nothing to prove in boxing. Hatton never proved a thing outside of the fact he was a milk white pale no talent pug with little skills in a country that doesn't have many atheletes. Ricky Hatton is going down as one of the least tlented bums to ever enter a ring and fraud and a farce boxer with limited talent and no jaw or defense. Ricky Hatton makes me vomit.
be careful you don't choke on that vomit won't ya
This Haye fan talk all relies on the premise that haye is a more important challenger than the others have been. But Haye has done nothing to warrant that consideration for anyone outside the British Isles. he wouldn't be among Wlad's ten toughest career fights. Maybe not in the top fifteen in my opinion.
Haye would be favored by non-Brits to lose to Chagaev, Boytsov, Chambers, or even Tony Thompson.
this has to be a joke
what the hell is ricky doing? he has a nice wife and KID with her i think and he does this? What a joke...........
He's not married and it isn't her kid....still a stupid move though
