Lewis had a full training camp for a fight and Vitali had 10 days. Still you seen what happend, Lewis didnt fight again for a reason. He knew what was coming.
Pretty sure this is wrong - wasnt Vit also training for a different opponent too?
I've always believed Wlad would beat Vitali at any stage of their careers, though it would be the toughest fight of either of their careers. Vitali has the guts, grit and rawbone toughness of a natural fighter, and very underrated skills both offensively and defensively but Wlad is one of the best pure boxers the heayweight division has ever seen, and one of the most athletic as well. Coupled with his size, ring IQ and excellent power I believe he has what it takes to beat any version of Vitali young or old. Put it this way, the only time to my knowledge that Vitali was troubled by a jab was in the Lennox fight. Now this isn't surprising since Lennox has one of the best jabs ever, but it's also one of the few times Vitali fought an opponent of a similar size and build to him. Wlad, in my honest opinion, has a better jab than Lennox, certainly a faster and crisper one, and a height advantage over Lennox as well (if not a reach advantage). He would be landing his jab in Vitali's face all night long who would be forced before long to adopt a more traditional hands up defensive style to avoid taking prolonged punishment, being unable to match his jab speedwise and power wise with his little bro. This would necessarily affect Vitali's game, positively or negatively I don't know. He might get shut down like so many other opponents Wlad fought, though the more likely outcome is that he starts going wild and coming forward more aggressively, hoping to take Wlad's head off. In this he could certainly do some damage, especially against the younger more aggressive Wlad. Against the current one, however, I see him having little success, shooting his load and getting outboxed to a decision. Wlad of course has his fair share of problems. If the Vitali that fought Lennox lands his stiff right hand he could seriously hurt Wlad, and that sneaky double right hand that he likes to throw could catch him out, as could any of the awkward broken rhythm arm punches he throws at mid range that get through even the tightest guards. So Vitali isn't out of the running by any stretch. Ultimately, however, I think it would come down to a battle of the jabs, and in this Wlad has the definite advantage.
I had Lewis way ahead in that fight - even though some die-hard Klitchsko fans may argue it was close in a couple of the rounds - and as Left Hook points out the cut was caused by a legit punch and is therefore a totally legit TKO. If it continued Lewis would have made mincemeat out of Vitali's face and probably got a genuine KO. It was a great fight though - maybe even the last truly great HW fight.
there is no way you can have lewis ahead in that fight, he was getting beat DOWN man. round 2 could have even been a 10-8 round. maybe you should re watch the fight?
what would have happened is left up to speculation i suppose. i feel that vitali wanted it more than lewis and was not going to be denied. i really wish we could have seen them fight where they both had a full training camp.
Prime For Prime...Vitali beats Wlad
Yeah, I said it.
Vitali says Wlad is better than him RIGHT NOW
But still, a prime Vitali or Wlad, not many can **** with them.
QED. Steelhammer2010 is a hopeless nuthugger and not to be taken too seriously. End thread.
You gotta admit if you are wining a fight, the opponent is tired and out of shape and you are stopped by the doctor cuz of a cut altough you can continue to fight, you are ****in upset.

Vitali Sanders and Brewster Lyakhovich were barn burners as well.
by the rules of boxing, yes it was a legit win - but if lewis was TRULY the winner that night, why did vitali leave with all of the glory?

To date, Wlad would win and I think as of now he's also the better boxer of the two. With having that said, I always thought that Vitali would win against his "little" brother, because he's tougher and almost "unknockoutable", but here's the deal:
If you have improved that much (and Wlad has), are younger, faster and have the reach advantage, then you've a decent chance to win against your older brother.
A mango, it doesn't have the indent on it to be a pair. It seems more oval in shape.
Top 3 best bruises I've seen a boxer get.
It looks very slightly like a breast to me. See that little dark "nipple" area in the middle? If Rahman got a matching one on the other side then he would be tres sexay.
Vitaly doesnt need speed to beat Wlad look at what Sanders did...
Yeah great example. Sanders had very quick hands for a heavy.
If you think Sanders has good hand speed i dont know what to tell you its average at best.
You need to watch more Sanders fights, specifically the early rounds of his fights before he gasses out. I recommend the Cooper, Weathers, Shephard and Sprott bouts. His speed is far from "average at best" and if you do as I suggest and still come away thinking that silly nonsense then, no offense, but I think you need to re-evaluate just what you're watching in a boxing ring.
