If boxing is to become all it can be, the best needs to fight the best, only then will casual people stay up all night just to watch 30 minuts or less of fighting.
Boxing can be such a aniticlimax for many people, as soon as somone breaks through, the start boxing ones a year against handpicked apponents

This^^ Golden boy will start to change all this hand picked fights once a year crap when they start to monopolise the sport. It needs to happen, give the fans what they want, more quality fights.

Yes but the ufc is more consistent with its ppv's. Oscar said he wants that with golden boy, putting on much more fan pleasing fights on every card. He has done a great job with the this next event.

It's got nothing to do with mma fanboys you clown, it is about boxing getting more success from the ufc model of one promotion having all the best fighters signed under it so the fighters have no excuse not to fight the best.

It's easy for the UFC because they control 95% of the MMA talent out there. And as the company grew they bought out all their competitors and were able to monopolize the sport. Here's an idea. Just go tell Bob Arum to sell his company to Golden Boy. Boom easy fix right there.
Ye thats the biggest problem at the moment with boxing, its difficult to put great fights together that the fans want to see because of promoters. Golden boy should try and monopolise the sport like the ufc did, so all fighters can fight eachother, not just the ones in their promotions.
The way Golden Boy is rolling right now I wouldn't be surprised if they make a play for Top Rank in 3 to 4 years. Bradley, Rigo, and others have been public about their rifs with Bob Arum. That has to damage TR's reputation a little bit. And the way Al Haymon and Richard Shaefer are aligned right now monopolization is a real possibility down the line.
Lets hope so, that would be awesome to have one leading promotion in boxing with all the top fighter signed with them.
