Guys can't even be in the room when an epidural is being performed..it's such a delicate procedure that they ask everyone to leave the room and the anesthesiologist and his assistant are the only ones there..
and no that sounds just about WRONG..if you're religious you don't believe in supernatural effects like superstitions..
actually...guys can be in the room if they want to or as per the request of the patient.honestly...most guys choose not to cuz they can't handle it.i actually think its the opposite...that if someone believes in religion which i think is kind of like supernatural(not really proven but sometimes believeable)
i work in a hospital.and ive seen grown ass men literally pass out on the floor just b/c their wives were getting their blood drawn or an epidural.and i read the article on espn and it did not say that he was actually scared of a needle...just superstitious.for a guy who's as religious and constantly praying before and after every round...that sounds just about right.
I still don't get why people keep saying "experts and doctors say drawing blood has no effect on the fighters performance."Every body is different. That includes mental and physical.I can eat shrimp and another person can eat it and die from it.I can take antibiotics and not shit for 3 days while another is can be shitting for the next 3 days."Doctors and experts" arent as smart as people think they are.Don't get me wrong, their pretty damn smart but dont think they know everything.Personally, i think the fact that Manny was unable to drink water and eat food after his dizzy spell from the blood drawing was the cause of his feeling weak.
athletes who cheat on their wives like manny pacquiao, michael jordan, tiger woods, and kobe bryant all go to the HOF and can be considered one of the all time greats.
It seems like some people here consider MMA gay.How about collegiate and HS wrestling? Those guys are wearing tight ass uniforms and pretty much touching each other everywhere.Would you guys consider that gay?
Threads here prior to Mayweather Sr. accusing of Pac of being on something
"de la hoya weight drained, hatton past prime, cotto weight drained, barrera and morales weight drained, jmm beat him in both fights"
Threads here after Mayweather Sr. and others accusing Pac of being on something
"he's hiding something, he's refusing so he's obviously guilty, his head grew"
Obviously his character has been tarnished from fighting weight drained and old fighters to cheating the sport of boxing.
i work in a hospital and ive seen grown ass men literally pass out from needles.and sometimes it wasnt even themselves who were getting the blood drawn.call it what you want, but some people just can't handle it.And getting a tattoo isn't exactly the same as getting your blood drawn.a tattoo is superficial and you don't literally see the blood getting sucked out of you.besides...where in the articles did they say pac was afraid of needles?as i recall he was willing to just not 30 days before the fight.
Manny will have told Arum what he wants in the contract, so what Arum says is what Manny really wants, because he's the end man that writes up the contract. Why would he lie and say 30 days instead of 5 if Manny wanted 5?
easy.negotiation tactics.theres a recent video or interview of manny saying he's willing to have the blood test up to 24 or 48hrs of the fight.just not the day before.
Yes but Mayweather can demand an unnecessary blood test that's not even required?Double standard. Both teams are on the extreme position about this.so why not meet in the middle. As far as i can tell...team pac is willing to have random blood and urine testing up to 5 days prior the fight.id say thats a pretty big compromise from their initial 30day window.
The fact that he doesn't agree to random testing.
What's so freaking hard to see about the difference between planned and random testing?
He agreed to random testing up to 5 days prior to the fight.that means in an 8 week training camp, 7 out of those 8 weeks both fighters will be getting blood drawn and be pissing in a cup as much as they are told.
 What do the Pac fans think of this? The allegations are not going to go away unless he agrees.
You might as well test them during the fight if that's the case.Team Pac has stated that blood and urine tests can be done randomly up to 5 days prior the fight.thats means theres about 7 weeks of blood tests and urine tests.so you're telling me that Pac is going to juice up in those last 5 days?come on now.....
You haven't heard Mayweather's cam say anything about taking a test the day before. That is Arum and Roach who are saying that. Mayweather's camp said let the Anti-Doping agency decide when the tests are given.
Yes youre right, but the anti-doping agency CAN(not necessarily will) still draw the blood from manny up to the day of the fight.Mayweathers team wants one extreme.Team Pac wants the other extreme.Meet in the middle.Do you think 7 weeks of random blood testing and urine testing isn't sufficient?
As already said, the problem is that some stuff take much less than 30 days to make it's way out of your system. Damn i wanted this fight to happen. Why won't Pacquiao agree to the ****ing test?
Mayweather, in order to get Oscar agreed to: Ring, gloves and venue all chosen by Oscar and 30% split. Pacquiao WON'T AGREE TO A FREAKING BLOOD TEST?!!
Wow.you must have missed the last few pages.Team Pac has agreed up to 5 days prior to the fight. It's called a compromise.Team mayweather wants one thing.Team Pac wants another.Team Pac is compromising.
Actually, Roach even decreased it to 1 week before the fight and Pacquiao has just recently said he'll take blood tests just not on fight day. So, I think they're might be a compramise soon.
exactly...yet people are here completely ignoring those facts.flomos this, pactards that.
Keep in mind that, if he is using illegal performance enhancing substances, it may not be steroids. Olympic athletes get in trouble for taking a number of performance enhancing substances that are not steroids. Those other substances may only stay in your system for a few days.
Also, if he fights Foreman or Malignaggi, it won't be on PPV unless it is one of Arum's PPV shows.
Very true.but do you really think Pacman will stay clean for 7 weeks for the fight due to all the random blood testing and urine testing and then for the last week juice up w/roids HGHs and other PEDs knowing he will be tested right after the fight?
Where is it written that he agreed to that? Sorry, I must have missed it. I only read Arum's statements.
Actually it was Roach has said 5 day window was more than fine. But Manny has just stated recently that i think he said the day before or 48hrs is fine just as long as its not the day of.
So what is the freaking problem.
Actually he and the team agreed on a 5 day window prior to the fight.and right after the fight of course.but you're right...what is the freaking problem?
Not the biggest Mayweahter fan, but I'm certain that if Pac agreed to the testing, the fight would happen. Floyd's not ducking shit.
who said floyds ducking?i actually stated that both fighters want the fight.
But an angered Leonard Ellerbe, Mayweather's adviser, told FanHouse on Tuesday, "Freddie Roach is full of s**t."
"They're scrambling and they're boxed in and they know it," Ellerbe added.
"It's our understanding that the will not be drawing blood 24 hours before the fight, so there shouldn't be a problem. They're probably saying something along the lines that Floyd Mayweather is trying to get out of the fight," said Ellerbe. "Well, if he feels that this is Floyd's way trying to get out of the fight, then all Manny Pacquiao has to do is agree to the testing."
http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2009/12/2...le-blood-test/
good find, but ive been looking through their website and i haven't seen a statement on the USADA website that states they don't draw blood 24 hrs before an event.Sorry but i don't trust promoters and managers word concerning something they dont really know about.
Arum hasn't mentioned anything apart from 30 days, he should know what Manny is willing to offer because he's negotiating the contract.
Again.Manny does the fighting. If he's willing to have the blood drawn closer to the fight which he has stated by the way, then Arum really doesnt have much of a choice otherwise he will also be missing out on a huge payday.
Did i hurt your feelings? :Thinkingo
He had dates where he would give blood, it's much easier to hide PED's if you know when are you getting tested.
You can't hide PEDS w/a 5 day window prior to the fight.
And i thought Oscar said he was never hurt by pacs punches?
No, I don't. I am not sure if he is using illegal substances or not. If he has used illegal substances in the past, he would probably avoid them for this fight knowing that he was subjected to random testing. However, if athletes who do cheat know they have a seven day window to use and get the substance out of their system before they are tested again, many probably would use.
Fair enough.but considering all this hoopla about Manny taking steroids prior to the fight even being signed that he and his team wouldn't be dumb enough to do that IF they were doing that from the beginning.I dont know about his other traning camps, but in the 24/7 episodes it made it seem like team pac was actually telling manny to slow down so i dont know if that would really help him at all.and yea i def. agree w/u that if an athlete knows they can get away w/it especially the ones w/big egos(a.rod and bonds)then they would def. choose that way.
What he says in an interview and what he puts in the contract can be 2 completely different things, i'm sticking with the official press release from the Promoter that actually negotiates the contract.
To each his own i guess.Ill trust the fighter who's going into the ring to risk literally their lives over a promoter who has a big payday whether his fighter loses or not.
Arums statements are the ones that are important he writes up the contract, Roach don't.
Arum's writes up the contract.Manny does the fighting hence the demands of Roach and Manny would most likely be met.Arum can't make manny fight if he doesnt want to.Check espn theres recent interview w/dan rafael whos following this fight apparently 24/7 stating that Arum is willing to have more than the initial 3 blood tests drawn statement.
You think? I don't think thats a legit source, lol...
And have you followed Roach's flip-flopping this entire fight? He's the one who has put out more rumors than anyone else. The fight being at 154, Floyd apparently not wanting the March date at all, etc.
Don't listen to Roach.
True.but what Roach was talking about in those interview was about issues w/the other fighter. He's talking about HIS fighter.
1 month is more than enough to clear out illegal substances. It only takes 2 weeks to be fully clean of steroids once you clear it up.
Either agree to the random tests or go fight the Malignaggis, Foremans and Bradleys of the world for $8-10Million dollars and average PPV numbers instead of a $40 Million dollar pay check and possibly sell up-to or over 2Mill PPVs.
Youre completely disregarding the recent statements of Roach and Pac that they are willing to have a 5 day window prior to the fight.
I think you guys are all missing my point
My point is that if manny agrees to the 14 days before the fight cut off and stipulates at least $1mill for testing clean win lose or draw and Floys still doesnt agree then that will settle the whole he said she said
to me it would be obvious that Floyd doesnt want the fight
at this point manny looks guilty
Again...that will settle it to YOU.Manny or Floyd has nothing to prove to YOU.Many people have already come to their conclusions.,but It is what it is.Manny is willing to pee anytime they want and according oto USADA that is enough to detect HGH and EPO.and 24 days before is the blood testing and right after the fight. If YOU think that's not enough for either fighters, that's on YOU.
