yea man, Kirkland's no joke. Reminds me of a smaller mike tyson in his build and his all out style. Good to see he's shaking the rust off by fighting so frequently, hopefully we'll see him in a serious fight soon. Him vs. Angulo and the winner gets Martinez is what I wanna see.

Awesome, thanks for all the responses guys. I've been following the sport only about 5 yrs but I figure its time to go to a fight and I'm a big cotto fan so this seems like a good first one to go to. I'm looking to spend somewhere around $200 so I'll see what the best I can get for that is but I'm figuring itll be the 200's. Rios is fighting too so that'll be cool, anyone know the other fights on the card?

very true, i feel like the atmosphere alone is worth it. I watched mayweather/ortiz in a movie theatre and having the whole room yell and cheer with everything thats going on is sweet, so i can only imagine what a live arena, MSG especially, would be like

What other Top Rank fighters could he set up next for pacquiao? Any hopes for Mike Jones went out the window last night. Other guys that would make a big PPV fight like Ortiz, Berto, Khan, Canelo, etc...aren't top rank, so what does he do...set up a rematch of an all Top Rank fight, put off mayweather/pac again... And also thinks he can have his own "Floyd Mayweather" undefeated top PPV fighter for when manny and mayweather retire.

I agree, if things go right that could be a trilogy. Everyone involved would benefit much more than staging any other fights. This includes Bob Arum and Top Rank even with them only having one of their fighters in the fight. But it brings up the same question of the past 3-4 years of why the fight hasn't happened already... and the more and more it seems like it might not happen, Bob Arum seems to be taking steps to make sure Top Rank will be the one promoting the super fights in the future or maybe I'm just overthinking a ****ty decision...
