I'll put it this way. I was 9 years old when Tyson lost to Douglas. The only boxers I knew existed were Tyson, Leonard and Ali. I had no idea when Tyson was fighting or whatever and MY TEACHER announced/asked to the class if anyone heard about Tyson losing. It was a HUGE thing.
Casamayor was robbed in big fights against Freitas, Castillo and in the draw with Diamond. If anyone deserved a gift, it's Casamayor. It wouldn't even be right for a great to lose to someone like Cruz most likely from the effects of a 13 month lay off, that's a lot for a 36 year old.
Diamond landed next to nothing but glove on Casa the whole night and was getting credit for throwing and hitting gloves, don't get mislead by the blind HBO guys. Casa easily won that.
What if Ali wasn't robbed of three of his prime years
What if Givens satisfied Tyson so he wouldn't of needed to go after other girls
What if Floyd and Casamayor fought at 130
What if Bowe and Lennox fought
Holmes would've beat Foreman 11-4 if they fought
What if Toney wasn't robbed in Griffin II and Peter I
What if Winky didn't get in the way and Shane fought Tito
What if Hagler and Ray rematched
What if Hearns had a chin
What if Gerald never got his career ended against Benn
What if steroids hadn't been invented
I don't hate Calzaghe, but I'm not interested in him. I will say though with him having the Kessler fight in the bag and still standing in front of a hitter like Kess in the 12th was very gusty and admirable.
Hopefully the link will come. I'm actually more excited about Diaz-Campbell than Oleg-Peter, although that should be good too. Campbell is a very live underdog and don't let anyone tell you different.
Roy Is Back To His Old Self
Not in the prime sense, but his fighting easy opponents sense. Even with all the cherry picking he still has 3 losses, 2 of which were embarrassing KO's.
