I don't understand how some are impressed with Manny's performance because no one really gave Rios and chance before the fight and Manny was suppose to win and win by knockout. This was Rios first fight at 147 and he didn't look that great his last 2 fights against Alvarado. He won the first fight against Alvarado but was losing on the scorecards before he stopped Alvarado and then he lost the rematch because Alvarado decided to do the smart thing and he outboxed him. This fight was designed to make Manny look good and that's it. Brandon Rios is just a smaller version of Antonio Margarito but with less skill.

I've never started a thread before but i have to now because of the fake fans. There was a post about Chavez Jr. maybe moving up and fighting Ward and most here ridiculed him but there were some that praised him for his courage. The people that praised him are damn idiots and one of the reasons why top fighters don't fight each other. Top fighters don't have to fight each other because these fake fans are OK with Chavez Jr., someone who has been protected and has mostly fought C and D level fighters, fighting a top elite fighter like Martinez and Ward. They say they like his courage and willingness to fight elite fighters but they ignore the fact that someone like Chavez Jr. completely sucks. If real boxing fans want to see the top fighters fighting each other then these fake fans have to go.

I got chewed out by some Floyd fans by saying he twists and turns. They say it’s a misconception but it really isn't. Of course he makes adjustments when he fights. If he needs to faint more or if he decides he has to jab more then he will do it. If he thinks throwing more or less lead rights will work then he'll do it. But what I am talking about is his defensive style. He primarily uses the shoulder roll and deflects punches by twisting and turning and what i said was accurate. It’s the exact same thing James Toney does. Both guys are flatfooted fighters that use the same defensive technique. Thing is, I'm a Floyd fan and i think he does make the adjustments but I try not to suck Floyd's dick like some of you Floyd fans.

Just read an article about Roach saying that the two are completely different even though both are counter punchers and that they could exploit some flaws Floyd has. I know I might get bashed from Floyd fans and i am a Floyd fan and think he has the edge on Manny but i think what Roach says is true. Their counter punching style is completely different and JMM takes some risks that Floyd would never take. The big flaw I see in Floyd is he doesn't use his legs to move anymore. He is content with blocking the punches and twisting and turning and it works. His opponent's connect rate is low but i think it puts him in a situation where he gets hit with that one big punch that can knock him out. If you fight a guy like Manny, you cannot just stay there and twist and turn and thats what Floyd does.
