margarito didn't lay down any real blueprint to beat cotto. Nothing of use to the rest of the welterweight division.
What you need to be in order to pull off what margarito did a) be stronger then cotto (how many welters can you say are stronger then miguel right now) and b) be have a rock solid chin.
And c) maybe just maybe have some illegal padding in your gloves to make your punches harder. We don't know for sure what happened now do we? Margarito wasn't throwing any hayemakers in there that i saw, so whatever arm punches he was landing, they seemed to have a big impact.
So if you don't have a, b, and c , chances are you're never gonna make miguel get on his toes for the majority of rounds and spend up the kind of energy he did in that fight. Mosley was the other guy who made miguel dance for a few rounds but cotto was still effectively counter punching in some of those rounds.
Cotto is tough to beat.

to me Berto is too easy for Cotto. Clottey Vs Cotto is more $$$$ to Bob, because clottey is from NY and the fight is in Madison Square Garden, so i think cotto win in UD:thinking:
