Cotto fights all Medium RISK - Medium Reward fighters EXCEPT ONE TIME, AND HE GOT HIS ASS BEAT..! (MARGARITO) Their is a big difference between beating a CURRENT CHAMPION for his belt. and beating a fellow contender for a belt. Thats why we have words like CHAMPION and CONTENDER.... and Cotto always fights contenders for his belts... He has never had to beat a CHAMPION for his belt. Cotto has never had to take away something from somebody who earned it. Cotto Flaws....Of Getting HIT alot , and wasting a lot of punches, Is a flaw you can not afford to have against The Elite Fighters And ESPECIALLY (CHAMPIONS)....., THATS WHY COTTO AVOIDS FIGHTING PRIME FIGHTERS(CHAMPIONS) FOR THEIR BELTS... Floyd and Quintana have become a VERY powerful shield. Rather then bringing Floyd to your defense why don't you just prove him wrong? No one is saying Cotto is a great fighter, but he is very good and one of the best current welterweights. very true, but his flaws IMO is what also held him back when he fought at the elite level.

Cotto got his belt like everybody is saying the easy way, but he has defeat, supposely the best, Mosley, Judah and every undeafeted future of the weight class, except cheato. Why he's not getting the respect that he deserves? I remember when Tito was the best and never got the credit, when Hopkins defeated him, hopkins was the best of the world.
