Golovkin will beat Monroe, but anyone who think it's gonna be easy are dead wrong. Keep in mind what happened in the Murray fight. Golovkin is not what he used to be and his confidence is gone.
Did you even look at the punch stats I posted? Golovkin probably could have ended the fight any time after the 5th or 6th round but he wanted to get some rounds in. He needed to test himself. When it reached the 10th, he decided that the time was right and took him out in the 11th. At no time did GGG look frustrated at all. If you think GGG is 'simple', you are an idiot.
1) No, he couldn't just end the fight when he wanted. Otherwise, he would have done it. He struggled too much to look like a guy who held back.
2) Did Golovkin let Murray open fire on his head on purpose?
3) Golovkin is simple. A powerful puncher with a good jaw who is good at cutting off the ring. That's it.
The Benavidez "loss" is the nail on the coffin for Herrera. I understand getting robbed at the top level by the crowd favorite, but getting rob by a prospect means you'll never win a fair decision ever again. And he doesn't have KO power, so yeah, it's over and it sucks for him.
You're sadly right, I think.
The Murray fight took something out of Golovkin. He's not scared of Monroe, but the purpose of this fight is to get Golovkin's confidence back on right track. We will see the good old confident Golovkin back when he has smashed Monroe.
Please remind us what happened in the Murray fight?
Which fight were you watching? Murray hit Golovkin brutally in the head over and over again and Golovkin looked frustrated at his power not being able to get Murray out of there until near the end of the fight. The fight exposed Golovkin as being too simple.
He beat ruslan I thought? Regardless, I feel bad for this dude, he just keeps getting ****ed over
He got the decision against Provodnikov, but against Garcia and Benavidez, the judges robbed him.
I became a fan of Froch in the Super Six tournament.
He got great wins against Pascal, Abraham, Bute, Kessler, etc., and the Groves fights were amazing, me and my friends were so excited for their second fight.
If someone doesn't like Froch, they don't like boxing. He's an entertaining warrior.
He's my favorite fighter. He does everything boxing fans claim to want out of fighters. He's entertaining to watch, he's a good talker, he wins more often than not against the best he can fight, what the hell else does he need to do to make people a fan?
Exactly. It makes no sense to hate on Froch.
Personally, I would like Ruslan to fight Rances Barthelemy afterward if he loses. Barthelemy is young, undefeated and very beatable for Provodnikov, so it would be a good way back into the mix. An Algieri rematch would also be good, or Herrera rematch.
Marciano would easily win in my opinion. He was an all time great. Quarry was a decent fighter but not a champion or an all time great. They are not close in ability. Marciano was vastly superior and would knock Quarry out in my opinion.
Marciano would certainly not win easily, Quarry is better than any opponent Marciano ever fought and Marciano had trouble with some of them.
I'm guessing this is the afternoon card on cbs. Not gonna lie I'm not excited one bit for this. Couldn't they just put this on pbc food network slot they have
You can hate on Mundine all you want, but his fights are entertaining and he is going up against Trout, the man who conquered Cotto and Canelo, both which are dream fights for Golovkin himself. This fight is worth watching. It will be very entertaining.
I think Trout wins, he has defeated both Canelo and Cotto, so I don't think Mundine will stop him. But Trout got a suspect jaw, so you never know. I hope Mundine wins.
It's awesome to see people waking up. Anthony Mundine is the real deal and while his legacy is already secured, he would definitely add an extra great addition to it if he manages to beat Trout, who defeated both Canelo and Cotto.

Yeah, truth hurts, Canelo can't beat good black fighters, he got humiliated by Mayweather, Trout and Lara and it wouldn't surprise me if Kirkland humiliates him too.

if you don't like america thats cool. If you dont agree with what the president does... thats cool too
Don't act like every single american is a sheeple.
I don't hate America. But their people need to step up to their evil leaders who are ruining the lives of many innocent people while making America hated almost anywhere outside of the Western world.
That's true, I just think it was hilarious what happened in the fight because he was such a big mouth, talked so much sh1t, and then got ko'd by ottke.
Well, it's a part of selling the game. Many boxers talk **** and sometimes they lose while doing it, but that doesn't matter if they try to take on hard opponents, cus that's what keeps boxing alive, taking chances. Mundine took a brave step-up against Ottke with almost no boxing experience behind him. He would improve a lot from that point and on.
