Assuming you don't already have a Wii U -- it's a pretty niche system -- would you go out and buy one if they came out with a Nintendo exclusive boxing game called Fight Night Legacy? This would be a robust boxing simulation fighting game with everything you could imagine.
So, is it a buy? or bye?
NOTE: This game would be a Wii U exclusive, so it's only on Wii U... can't play it on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PS3.

Yep, thanks to Mario Kart 7 and SSBros., last year I believe it was in the last quarter, Wii U dominated both PS4 and XB1. In 2013 last quarter(holidays), Wii U and 3DS destroyed both consoles.
Only in Japan, Wii U was outsold in the US by both X1 and PS4. According to NPD.
Nah, its a dead console. Rumours are they are stopping production at the end of the year.
EA would never release it on Wii U alone anyway, no one who owns a Wii U buys any 3rd party games EA also said they have stopped supporting the Wii U. They've only sold like 12 million worldwide.
Nintendo made a awful console, with an awful name, released games few and far between with almost no 3rd party support marketed it poorly and it sold about as well as you'd expect.
Shame since I had a gamecube when I was a kid and I loved it Smash Bros Melee was great, Brawl was good. the Wii was meh and I've pretty much given up on Nintendo they're console was dying the moment it was released. I mean Nintendo just don't want to make a 3rd party friendly console, the Wii sole well because of the gimmick. The NX will be the last roll of the dice for Nintendo I think if it doesn't do well it should fold up the console making business and become a 3rd party developer and stick to handhelds.
Probably not.. But that oculus rift (virtual reality thing) that's coming out pretty soon that has everyone freaking out... If they put out a boxing game I'd definitely jump on that. It'd be like the real thing without actually getting whacked upside your head.
It really depends on the quality of the game.
Ubisoft have released a few exclusives on the Wii U, including a truly awful port of Watch Dogs, and then have been shocked that it didn't sell.
I love my Wii U. It's not going to win this console race, but with a few more hits I can see it running the XB1 close for second.

In Feb 2015, the 3DS beat out PS4 and XB1.
Nintendo isn't doing too bad. I'm a PS4 guy, but Wii U is doing its thing, it's in the race with XB1.
IMO the Wii U is a complimentary system. If the online network was better it would be more competitive. It's fun though. I like my Wii U. It's like a Super Wii... and HD Wii.
he said last quarter!

Hmmm, you have to take into consideration the Wii U LAUNCHED Nov 2012.
Xbox One launched Nov 2013.
The Wii U basically had a ENTIRE year head start, and yet the Xbox One still caught up and has surpassed it.
But its not to bad, because the Original WII, crushed the PS3, Xbox 360 with ease.
The least the Microsoft XB1 could do is catch up to the Nintendo Wii U and beat it by several hundred thousand units, that's the least it can do, even with the one year head start. Considering it was supposed to be rivals with the PS4 (20 million units), which also has the 1 year disadvantage XB1 has, instead it rivals Nintendo. Nintendo is largely promoted to a certain age demographic, kids/parents. While XB1 is targeted for all ages, it has a larger fanbase, much larger than Nintendo. I doubt that number (9.2 vs 10) will be considerably different in 1 year.

Wii U and XB1 have sold around the same. Wii U 9.2mill, XB1 10mill. Wii U sales also crushed PS4 and XB1 sales last year in the last quarter.

they need to put out a boxing game on the PC only.
i'm sick of consoles because they're so mediocre 100% compared to PC gaming which is FAR superior.
Online multiplayer would suck...
I have a Wii U(impulse buy), it's a piece of ****, but I suppose I would playa boxing game if it came out for it. Goddamn it we need a new fight night.
I don't think it's weird.
He's basically testing your love for Boxing, just as like the typical thread "whats your favorite sport"
The Wii U is a system that most people will barely touch, as low sales have shown.
Putting a Exclusive boxing game might just draw boxing fans to the system.
Just saying I understand the thread.

Seriously though I'd love a new Fight Night. I have a PS4 and if FNC came out tomorrow I'd get it. As for a Wii, I have no doubt they're fun as hell. But 2 systems would be too much for me. I'd have to see the boxing game on it first and if it were REALLY, really impressive...who knows. I might.
What if Nintendo personally came to your house and blew you... would you buy it?
