First of, no, I'm not trying to make him out to be some elite level A+ boxer. Because he certainly isn't. But he is always trying to fight the best opponents, he is always exciting in the ring and he does have some pretty okay wins.
Danny Green, Sam Soliman, Shane Mosley, Sergey Rabchenko, Daniel Geale, etc.
I look forward to his fight against Austin Trout and I really hope that Mundine wins the fight. It would be good for boxing, although I know that this will be a hard fight. One that people should look forward to.
My point is, people should stop talking like Mundine is a horrible boxer. He got a few losses, but research them and understand the circumstances. His worst loss was against Manny Siaca early in his career, but he has since then beaten far better opponents than Siaca.
Yeah, truth hurts, Canelo can't beat good black fighters, he got humiliated by Mayweather, Trout and Lara and it wouldn't surprise me if Kirkland humiliates him too.

You're a Canelo fan, what to expect, your boy got owned by Trout and Lara. If Mundine beats Trout, then I would like to see him fight Canelo afterward. Styles makes fight and it's not impossible that Canelo beats him even if Mundine beats Trout, but would be exciting.

In Australia he's disliked because he has a big mouth and he fought too mant taxi drivers on ppv and each one was supposed to be the lats fight before he went to the US and took on the best but he really never did it.
In the end he was just making too much money fighting nobodies in Aus with the odd good fighter in between.
Only fighter to have every career fight on ppv.
Ive heard from people in the know over here that hes made $70mil from boxing, thats up there with the top guys outsdie Pac and Floyd.
I honestly doubt that's true.
Mundine has been milking the casual boxing fans of australia for far too long and he should be ashamed of what he has been doing.
He even brought in his mate sonny bill williams in on the milking act, it was despicable.
Yes he was a decent C level boxer in his prime and probably could of done more if challenged himself after the Kessler fight.
Even now he is going to fight Trout who has been struggling.
He is sort of a crossover fighter but you must remember that his father was a pro boxer and mundine would have been trained from an early age.
I hope that he retires soon because he is an embarrassment to aussies that are real boxing fans.
He is rated by Boxrec as the 15th best 154 pounder in the world so he is not that bad but not that good either. He has 6 losses and been stopped twice. The 9 best 154 pounder, Clottey went to Australia and beat him by scores of 116-108 115-109 and 117-108. That is a very one side loss for Mundine considering he was fighting in his own country.

Notice how nobody else brings up anyone else to compare with Mundine as a cross over star?
No, not a great boxer, but a cross over, who was a major star in a previous non-combat sport and went on to become a star or do something significant in boxing.
Also the fact that Mundine was NOT a HW, so size alone can't get you far.
Dude stfu you're an idiot. Since you said, "on paper yes", that means that thurman's the wba champ not floyd, lara's the wba champ not floyd, & jacobs the wba middleweight champ not GGG.
Stfu & go on ignore.
Nice rebuttal Big Muppet, did you come up with that all by yourself?
Yes, they are World Champions, but the fans know who the real champs are in every division, so even though Kovalev doesn't have the Lineal belt he is the Champ. However, that is too much to absorb for someone who is used to 140 characters max.
As for me being an idiot? Well, how about you go on make some more self ownage threads and beg the mods to delete them when they reach 10 pages of utter humiliation and downplay as if nothing happened.
Mundine is okay. He's beat one or two good fighters. Underrated? Absolutely not. You saw what a ring-rusted Clottey did to him.
Now Clottey? There is an underrated fighter. Mundine is a mediocre fighter with the financial resources to get the right opponents.
Also.... who the **** is Garth Wood?
Totally agree. People think he's a chump because of the Pacquiao fight but he is a beast, just wish he was more active.

Well, after what Clottey did to him, it's understandable that people are ragging on him a bit.
On paper yes, in practice even Brook isn't a Champion, because Mayweather holds the Lineal belt.
Yeah, just like you accidentally owned Espin0za.

And I didn't say you said he was a demolition machine. Do you know what self proclaimed mean? What can't read? Dumnbass
